West Indies and England are all set to square off in the fourth T20I of the ongoing five-match series at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad today, on December 19, Tuesday.

After winning the first two games and taking a healthy lead in the series, the hosts suffered a defeat in the third encounter as England went one up to make it 1-2. It was a close contest between the two sides, and the visitors eventually managed to make a comeback to remain alive in the series.

Winning the toss, England put West Indies to bat first. After losing the opening batters, Brandon King and Kyle Mayers, within the first two overs of the powerplay, Nicholas Pooran played a key role with the bat, scoring a 45-ball 82 studded with six fours and as many sixes. Decent efforts from the middle-order batters led to the Windies posting 222 runs in their 20-over quota.

Meanwhile, England got off to a tremendous start as openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler shared a 115-run stand before the latter walked off scoring 51(34) in the 12th over. Phil Salt was unstoppable as he went on to score a century and remained unbeaten at 109*(56).

Harry Brook’s breathtaking 7-ball 31* helped England clinch a nail-biting victory on the penultimate delivery of the game. He notched up 24 runs off the first five deliveries of the final over as England made amends for the first two losses.

A man was shot dead on the same road as where the England and West Indies cricket teams are staying in Port of Spain for the final two T20s of the series this week.

The PA news agency understands England's players were told ahead of arriving in Trinidad that leaving the Hyatt Regency hotel was prohibited, except for cricketing reasons and a prearranged round of golf.

England's first match in Trinidad in 14 years on Tuesday is not in jeopardy and a team spokesperson confirmed there will be no change to their security arrangements.

England in a very good position after 10 overs as they are 119/1. Phil Salt once again looking in great touch as he is batting on 61 runs off 30 balls at the moment.

England is about to put up a ridiculous score. I don’t watch IPL, but how did Phil Salt go unsold in the draft? Back to back T20 centuries is very impressive.

England finished their innings at 267/3. Thanks to brilliant batting by Salt, Buttler and Livingstone. Surely, this would be too much for West Indies but if they're going to get anyway near to this target, this will be a really fascinating run-chase to watch.

Love to see the intent of the West Indies despite losing continuous wickets; they are not slowing down in the chase.

West Indies 129/7 in 10 overs.

Phil Salt's second successive century helped England hit their highest T20 international total in a chaotic 75-run win over West Indies to level the series.

Salt's astonishing 119 - the highest score by an England men's batter in the format - came from just 57 balls and included 10 sixes as the tourists finished with 267-3.

Captain Jos Buttler smashed 55 from 29 balls and Liam Livingstone added an unbeaten 54 from 21 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad.

West Indies kept up with the imposing run-rate during their entertaining chasing effort, but regular wickets cost them, the hosts falling to 192 all out.

The hosts amassed 87 from the first six overs, but England held their nerve and fought back to break every dangerous partnership, with every bowler taking at least one wicket.

All-rounder Andre Russell gave the hosts late hope with a dynamic 24-ball half-century before he was the last batter to be dismissed in the 16th over by Reece Topley, who finished with 3-37.

The series is level at 2-2, with the decider taking place at the same venue on Thursday.

20 overs and 267 runs on the board, that was total carnage by the English batters. Even though west indies was also going strong with some 190 odd runs in 15 overs but they lost wickets that was the only reason they lost else they were in the race to chase that total down.
