India would rather face Pakistan than England in the semi finals so I am not sure what you are talking about. Now you are accusing all teams of throwing matches just to get Pakistan out? So India, England, New Zealand, umpires all are fixing just for some grand conspiracy against Pakistan? Get over yourself
 
It has been a bad toss trend for Pakistan since the Afghanistan match
 
Pakistan used all of their luck in ct 2017, so even though they are more deserving than nz they won't qualify.

guys need to chill out. What happened in the last match on this ground a few days ago. S lanka batted first and scored 338. Whilst windies nearly chased it down. So its not all doom and gloow. Good pitch and 320 very much chaseable. NZ Have to restrict england to around 300
 
I just hope Boult can go on a roll and remove the top 3 in no time.

We needed Lockie in this XI to unsettle the English batsmen with his express short-pitched bowling and England chasing a 300+ score under pressure to save their WC campaign.

If England post a 330+, I don't think NZ will care about what total they make as long as they don't get bowled for under 150. Even if they were to lose by 200 runs, their chances are still good.

Bad signs for Pakistan. It will take a miracle for England's team to lose today.
 
Toss has been not been on Pakistan side India vs eng (eng won toss but we wanted India) ind vs bng (Ind won tops but we wanted bng) same is today we wanted nz but eng won toss and almost win the match as well
 
Any thing over 250 and nz won't we able to chase it considering their fragile batting line up excluding Williamson and Taylor

The first listed match was the India v Pakistan Test in Calcutta in 1979-80, when Iqbal captained Pakistan. It has been widely alleged that Iqbal determined the outcome of the toss in that Test match. Speaking from Bangalore yesterday, the Indian captain at Calcutta, Gundappa Vishwanath, recalled: "I flicked the coin as the home captain. I saw the coin roll and Asif said: `you've won the toss'."
 
Someone made a fair point about the wicket being supportive. That goes against us as well, NZ might get close to the total and nrr still unharmed

This is the worst possible start for NZ (and Pak) . .

If this is a sign for things to come, Pakistan might as well start praying that England puts up 500 and NZ gets to 70 all out :) . .

Although, its a lose lose . . because if England puts up a big total on the board (which seems very likely), NZ is just going to play to ensure their run rate doesn't take a hit . . they won't really bother with the total, bceause they know its near impossible for Pak to surpass them on NRR
 
Why bowl a slower ball when you are getting swing with the new ball?
 
It is WC over for us, as England are batting first. No chance of NZ chasing it down. What a frustrating end.

If Eng makes 450+ and gets NZ out for around 100, Pakistan will have a great opportunity to reach Semi by winning against BD.

NZ deserves to be out. They have been riding on luck for so long.

One trick ponies England, got exposed by SL of all teams on a decent wicket.

They would have been eliminated by now if they played on the same wickets the rest have.
 
Pakistan fans in utmost dilemma now.... whether to wish for ENG wkts to fall in a heap or 'whether to wish for ENG getting off to a flier so that they can built a massive total and bundle out NZL for a paltry score':lara.

They also made sure they got fresh pitches for this match and India match. Morgan categorically stated he wants those pitches.
 
Reminds me of South African team of 2015 that used to smash 400s but while chasing lost to India and Pakistan both.

Any pitch with a semblance of support to bowlers will crush all England hopes. Alas.. these entitles brats get all fresh pitches without an iota of movement .. be it seam/spin
