England dont deserve this worldcup either.
They are flat track bullies and even then they cant win if chasing on flat tracks.They need to bat first for a win.How does such a team deserve the WC.

I can see New Zealand, batting now for their net run rate rather than winning the game. Unfortunately looks like our World Cup dream is over.

Ok, supporting England now to thrash new zealand to submission now. No need to put hopes on a weaker side like kiwi beating poms when they are batting first on a flat wicket.

We will now know what target to beat bangladesh by, if Kiwis get the thrashing of a life time, it's looking like that to be honest.

I hope Aus or India win, England have only done well on flat pitches and crumbled when given the same pitches the other teams have been given.

This England side deserve to be in Semis. They are too good a side to be missed out from semis

Every other team is getting challenging pitches..

England on the verge of getting knocked out gets 2 flat pitches. It's pathetic.

First time we've gotten a pitch like this in the tournament.

Don't you think they read it? They very well know the criticism but choose to ignore it. England is a god send angelic team for them. They're all gearing up for 100 tournament. This world cup win is very important to ECB for its future. ICC is ensuring they get all they want to win this.
 
They couldn't have given these pitches to us earlier... our batsmen might actually have some form..
 
Now I understand why the SL team and Kohli were complaining.

Lord's is a neutral wicket so England won't win against Australia for sure. Edgbaston we all saw how they tampered the pitch a couple of days back. Expect the same. But I hope they have bigger boundaries/use one of the center pitches. Will expose all the bullies.

You can bring all the excuses about the Pitches but the reality is your bowlers are absolute cr*p minus Boult.
 
This is how a No. 1 Team would play . Ok, I agree this is how No. 1 FTB Play when batting 1st.
 
I dont want to sound like sour grapes..but how are england allowed to prepare their wickets..every match of theirs so far has been flat track yet rest have spin or bounce in them

But But Kohli used to say he doesnt mind the pitches which are being dished out.Why is he crying now?Deal with it.If you prepare dust bowls and turners then its fine right?

This so far has looked like the first out and out flat track England have played on all tournament.
 
On a serious note, soooo boring to follow these type of matches.... what is this???????? ... pure luck(toss) deciding the results of matches and there by the ultimate trophy winner..... then what is the need of even playing??? Today itself , it is more or less clear that ENG would win unless something extra ordanary happens . I think ICC needs to something serious w.r.t this...... some thing like split inns ... team winning the toss should bat for first 25 overs, then 2nd team should play full 50 overs, then the first team final 25 overs.... some thing like that...

This is an ICC tournament. ECB/BCCI don't prepare it. Big difference between bi-laterals and tournament cricket.
 
England regaining their batting mojo, they truly deserve the world cup this time. Auss, India and England the top 3 teams by far.

Yes, the ECB rigged it to stop raining and get the sun to start coming out in the run up to the game at Edgbaston... Cut the whining.

England batsmen are as excited as kids in the candy park. NZ will have a mountain to climb, don't see their bowlers making a comeback on this pitch.
 
Don't expect NZ to chase anything over 300 . Also wouldn't expect them to lose by a massive margin if they didn't chase it. A small loss is enough for NZ to get through and enough for England to get through.
 
I dont see nzl winning this game unless eng batsmen start to throw away their wickets

No way New Zealand are winning a batting shootout. Only hope for them is a sporting wicket where Willaimson and Boult are in play.

Still the curators are same.Its not like in 2011 Indian pitches stopped turning.The reason we are getting flat pitches is that there has been no rain which has helped curators.
 
This is what happens when you give a runway to pure FTBs.

They have and will continue to fail on anything that is not a runway, yet people give them a lot of undeserving respect.

Anyway, anything above 280 NZ won't be able to chase.

What flat wickets. The pitches against South Africa and Australia were hardly the easiest to play on. Against Afghanistan we got a used pitch that had been receptive to spin. There was definitely something in the pitch for the pace bowlers against India.
 
Durham County is Botham city, the biggest Whinger of all time. He must have whinged his way to the groundsmen to ensure this is a flat track!

If England reach the semis or final...expect a concrete road. That's the only way this team can win.
 
New Zealand seem to have all the players yet always underperformed. Their bowling looks the best after Indias. They have an explosivebopener and top batters in nichols and Latham.

So what are the possible results from this match that can get Pak to the semis?
 
Both India and Australia benefited immensely from home pitches in 2011 and 2015. Why should England be treated differently? Good job ICC. You have redeemed yourself after the farmer pitch for the England vs Sri Lanka game.
