Batsmen out of form and scoreboard pressure of a big total will be enough for England to win this.
We've had so much go wrong since the WI game, you'd think it's only a matter of time before it changes but nope.
NZ would be indifferent. But it would be good for WC and even cricket in Eng if home team plays the knockout and even win it.
Do you think your boys will even attempt to chase. Are they the types who can collapse dramatically if they get too defensive?
Tbh, if england can only win matches on flat pitches they don't deserve for place in semi's.
Mixed feelings here, I want both Pakistan and NZ through. But tbh, if NZ lose big tonight, they don't really deserve an SF spot.
The gap of NRR in terms of runs between Pakistan and New Zealand is 432.
Butler comes in at 4. England know 360 may not be enough??

They fear Williamson.
Not gonna happen

Read the thread, we've posted answers to that (with various scenarios) about 50 times in the last hour.
NZ will get destroyed by any team if they meet the semi unless by some miracle Ferguson is fit and they find a green seamer somewhere. Any other conditions they will get hammered.
And England to beat New Zealand by 222 runsPakistan needs to win against Bangladesh by beating them with more than 210 runs.....![]()
another wicket of buttler and game is on......... though stokes is a handful.
a bit of seam and gone. did nz drop a catch in this innings
I am a bit confused. At this point there are two options for Pak fans.
1.Pray that NZ brings their A game and successfully chase 350+ today. It knocks Eng out, Pak beats Bang and makes it to semi.
2.Pray that NZ loses by a huge margin of >200 runs. Then it gives Pak huge advantage in terms of improving their NRR vs Bang.
What option you will prefer?

So all teams are fixing because its good for the world cup?
The way things are going it could be Ind-NZ semi.
I'm sure a green pitch can be arrangedif Eng fancy beating Aus in the other semi. Flat deck in the final and cricket will be coming home again
)
Bairstow gone.
Under 340 and New Zealand got this
They're usually a lot better than this, we just got really unlucky with all our batsmen losing form at the wrong time.NZ are an awful team
Bangladesh and Pakistan would have been better semifinalists
In your dreams brother. Newzealand is not able to chase more than 250 runs. There middle order plus openers are terribly out of form.
The way its going ....it will be IndvEng
Going into the SFs with 3 straight losses isn't ideal and most will consider the WC a failure despite making the Semis. The team has not played well and got real lucky.Regarding all the comment about this match ....... NZ doesnt need to win this. So it is basically a match practice for them.
Is NZ giving false hope like India??![]()
Amla to get a 150+ in a mustwin game![]()
And England to beat New Zealand by 222 runs

I don't understand why England didn't prepared flat wickets for themselves in the early stage of the tournament. I mean they obviously know they will struggle on slow/spin wickets. Pakistan beat them in CT17 on a spin wicket.

however, I believe if england scores around 300-310, NZ will try to chase it with conviction to get a good hang of things.
England came into the tournament thinking they're world beaters. Got a reality check and decided to learn from the other pitch doctors they'd whined about for years.
