Ideal opportunity this is for Pakistan nobody stood up so far innings crying out for a 100
 
We might get around 48 overs after this one considering the light. May not be enough to force a result
 
If Pakistan can get a session similar to the first, ie bat slow first hour and then score second hour with just Rizwan's wicket, we could be around 250/4 at tea. That's not a bad position to be in.

Both Stokes and Anderson are getting the ball to swing so play them out.

Guessing a good chance this could be his last test.

Assume he will be out of the next series due to injury and if his replacement does well, he will struggle to come back.
 
3 real wickets left. After that the flood gates open.

Could go either way still but so many runs still to get, England a bit ahead for sure.

Worst thing is such a poor squads been picked only replacement is shan masood another TTF, Kamran Ghulam should have been picked

Such decision can only be taken by a team which believes in winning mindset even if it comes at loss sometimes. Eng, Aus & may be India are reinventing test cricket which is much needed these days. Days of survival or playing for draw are gone now. In any field if you don't develop and evolve with time you can't survive for long time

This match should be saved now. There is no point in going for win when you are more likely to loose the game while doing that.

England have played the perfect game really. Spot on with their declaration knowing we’ve got such a cowardly bunch of cricketers. Anderson has conceded only 16 runs it shows they’ve allowed him to hit the areas

Azhar is pathetic. He is refusing obvious doubles because he doesn't want to be on strike. And then he's trying to force risky singles to get off strike. Guy is a tailender.

Will be hard for Pakistan to win - guessing Azhar's strike rate will be hampered by injury, then one more player who can bat followed by the tail.
 
Azhar is one of our last chances to negate Anderson. At his peak he could at least hold his end Vs swing. Come on man, sign your career off with a W.

I don’t understand the thinking by the management. Have they given up? Azhar should have only been sent in once they’ve given up hope of winning the match - as the commentators say “insurance policy”
 
You can get 80 runs a session without even trying on this

How foolish are folks expecting Pakistan to go for for runs ? Deep down maybe want Pakistan to lose. Hope you all are happy now . Was no chance of victory but even draw is looking impossibly now.

England were always going to win. We have gifted every wicket which is what we like to do. What an awful shot by shakeel it was noting shot in the first innings same now..Azar looks like a rabbit as it is
 
Pakistans chances of victory ended with Rizwans early dismissal post Lunch session. Going for win after that is noting but suicide.
 
But what was Shakeel supposed to do? He had to keep it ticking over with Azhar dead batting at the other end.

Salman is more than capable, he should have been sent ahead of the nightwatchman so both him and shakeel could have taken the score further down
 
If Salman goes, it will be game over for Pak. Azhar can’t do this.

If Pakistan are to win maybe not a bad thing Saud getting out, Agha hopefully will bat a bit faster. Tuk Tuk both end will lead to sure defeat.

Pakistan need to give it a go , england made a bold declaration and pakistan too should go for the win.
 
I'd love to see Azhar do this for Pakistan.

Been a fan of his since the days Pakistan was using England as their home away from home and he was your only batsman with the technique and grit to dig in for some tough runs in really swinging conditions.
 
One wicket goes and England will win even if that wicket falls with only 10 overs left , England would still have enough time to wrap up the remaining batters.

He concentrated and batted for long time with hardly any false shot, what more you expect from him everyone plays a shot sooner or later that results in their dismissal. The only criticism I would have is that he could hadbatted a tad faster after his 50.
 
Stokes is bowling his heart out. I usually underrate his bowling, but he’s doing well. Disciplined line and lengths and getting some movement.

Ofc, it helps bowling to a line up that is so submissive.
 
Much better pitch than the one here against Australia. That was one of the worst pitches in the history of Test cricket.
 
Need just 133 more in minimum 40 overs, so if Pak doesn't get all out run rate shouldn't be problem and they should surely win it. Inshallah, when required runs get to under 100 with these two still on crease all pressure will shift to England.
 
Get 30 more runs and confidence will go up. Come on lads
 
Just a slight movement today from anderson and stokes and as usual pakistan's batting struggled against that 1% of help to bowlers.
 
England pacers have bowled well this inning , and Stokes clever not to bowl spinners after Lunch not to give Pakistan any easy runs.
