Ball is trying to get Azhar Ali the same way as he got him out in the first innings.
 
He has form behind him, shouldnt waste it. Hope he isnt playing for lunch
 
Woakes is the ultimate danger here, if these two can negotiate his spell somehow then it will become a lot easier.

He improved in the Pakistan Cup, and also showed he is a captaincy material.

May be 200 would do - that's identical target (267) for ENG to match 1st innings. But, in any case, PAK has to catch well. So far 2 drops (but a singe player), may be one more is manageable.

Keep Hafeez away from the slips! Need to get as many as possible
 
Dont mind if Azhar leaves those all day. Anything too full or on his pads and he should try scoring

Masood is very limited player, but his approach or preparation of the game is perfect. Even in running, he is holding his bat with correct hand, calling & turning perfectly - if he was just a bit more skillful, could have played for a decade. Very much hardworking & disciplined player.

Who cares about captaincy, he cannot play pace like Hafeez, has no shots and frozen feet... I don't want to invest in opener who runs away from pace, that's your primary job.

Pakistan cannot invest in openers who runaway from facing seamers Hafeez and Shezad are like that, they Whack spinners all day but shiver in front of pace, who need such openers?? - fans and management needs to open their eyes [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849]

Lets do this easy, take the game away from Eng by getting to 100-2 and scoring 300+ in the inns.

Idk he keeps talkking about 4 runs an over as if that exact number matters. He wants us to score off every ball or something. Its getting annoying.

You are clearly biased, as you didn't see his improvement in the Pakistan Cup.
 
Why Woakes didn't open bowling instead of Ball is beyond me.. England have themselves to blame for this loss..
 
Pakistan should be aiming to bat the rest of today atleast, wickets still decent for batting.
 
Shan Masood is strong off his legs, but his head is always falling over off stump. Which means he is an lbw candidate and because of his height will always play the short ball poorly
 
Woakes will be bowling soon, see him off and will get easier after that.

Remember guys these England fast bowlers bowled aot of overs in the 1st innings. Don't know how much energy they will have left especially in these warm conditions
 
Thank God there is some freaking urgency in this Innings !!! Just need someone out of these two to go Big !!
 
Masood need to play straighted here, has a tendancy to want to whip through legside which is dangerous for lbws.

If Shan and azhar can get a 50 runs partnership I'd be pretty happy with Shan but azhar has to perform big please , though younis has a high average in 4th innings but I think we can't depend that much on the team man,

I have seen Pakistan cup, nothing different. That one day cup was on even slower Faisalabad wicket than UAE, all openers were scoring centuries... Even there he was going after spinners after 10/12 overs. Does not tell me anything different [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]


If Pakistan want to win this series, Azhar needs to open and Babar needs to debut... Wickets we are facing next are 3x difficult than this phatta... Keep playing Hafeez for another 2 years and just be happy to win in UAE...

As a fan I want to see team moving forward. Current opener strategy is cancer to team [emoji84][emoji84][emoji84]

If you guys didn't have Yasir, england would have pounded you even with this pace attack.

But with yasir, the game changes completely.

His regular balls are spinning a bit to make his sliders super wicket taking deliveries (drift + slide).

Rambo is a "safe" player, always - he thinks same pair needs to be given another Test, at least.

However, if PAK wins this, Misbah'll get another excuse to keep MoHa in the team - don't change winning combination.
