England v Pakistan | 1st Test | Lord's | Jul 14-18, 2016 | Day 3

Younis will know himself he is poor against pace so whycant he just get a single off them?

Bunch of sissies at play, I thought we would have taken a lead of at least 200 by now, but these sissies are scared to death, have made these bowlers look like world class again, I was right when I called for dropping anyone above 34 years of age before the overseas tours.

YK have played almost 13 overs and still he isn't look settled...apart from last boundary he doesn't look confident.

Are you trying to jinx us from every possible aspect?

Nah.

Not that kind of a guy.

You can look at history.

From 1970, only 6 games have beeen won in England chasing 250+.

Its very hard to do it.

Even recently India failed to gun down a simple 170 target against SL. Something happens in 4th innings.

This Galle 370 chase is all rare in history.

Chasing 250 against PAkistan would only be possible if bowlers do really bad including Yasir.

It would be a supreme win if England chase 250 or 300 to win this game. Not at all easy.

This on-drive is sub-continent special - even our Mahmood plays this perfectly.

Watching the two bat, one would think that Shafiq is the one with an average of 54 and 30 hundreds.

One word Yasir.

If not for him, I wouldn't give Pakistan any chance.

But with him.....you can look at history.

4th innings its bloody hard to nail it.

England would be very uncomfortable with anything over 200.

Over 250 is damn hard.

Over 300 is bye bye.

Unless Yasir bowls filth or loses focus (he does have a weakness when attacked).

YAsir is one man. He is not invincible. Cook and Root can counter him

Put a shafiq type technique on younis and a younis type mentality on a shafiq type technique you get a great player.

Pak needs to get the lead to 300..

But considering our abysmal tail the chances are slim.

One more wicket and Pak batting would crumble, Shafiq is only solid player in Pak batting line up..

Had MoHa passed his test, he would have been handy on this track against lefties, coming round the wicket.

I'm not Umar Akmal's biggest fan but surely he'd be handy coming in at 7 if we move everyone else up and replace Masood.

Kumble was one man.

Teams couldn't win against him for a whole decade at home.

Pounded all lineups in 4th innings.

Now I am neither comparing both bowlers nor am I saying Yasir will surely do well or England are incapable of playing him but imagine:

Dry pitch
Turns a bit
Uneven bounce
4th inings
Yasir in form

How much a psychological impact it has.

If these 2 can get us to 230 than a 40 plus from Sarfraz we have a decent score. Still time no need to rush

Younis forcing Shafiq out of his comfort zone with his cowardly batting.

Shafiq taking chances here but so far delivering.
