England v Pakistan | 1st Test | Lord's | Jul 14-18, 2016 | Day 3

Unless Pakistan fully collapse, the game is still theirs.

231 lead.

250+ has been chased only once as someone pointed out.

Wonder what would Anderson do to this abysmal Pak batting line up.. He was unplayable in the UAE .

Do you think Woakes ball that got Asad was on a flat deck?

rare good ball but Eng batsmen will not go in the shell like our batsmen. They will come atttacking and finish the job early.

Pakistan will win this even with the current score. There is no way England will make 23o

The risk is, they might be 2 down in that attempt. 250+ scores are not like that you can win one partnership. I have seen teams chasing 170 from 30/4 or even worse; but 250+ gives the chance to make come backs.

In any case, PAK has to catch well - it won't be easy to keep against Yasir.

Just need the tail to wag a bit, a 20 from somebody, couple 10s, and this is 300+ lead. Still a good chance for Pak to take control by end of day.

Ball has gone soft.

Really if you have temperament, putting 50 to 60 is very doable.

Its about application.

As for England, they just have to bowl in the right areas and pray.

Or try Moeen. Their best bet.

This is the loop hole of DRS - if it was given, TV umpires would have to be sure to over rule. I think, DRS shouldn't be with players - on- field Umpire can ask for assistance if he is in doubt, before giving verdict, but once decision given, it should stand like that.

For a change - I stand corrected, Imran would have been better pick over Rahat here, the way Woakes is seeming it (Wahab can't be dropped as someone rightly mentioned, he is to scare)

He averages 40.67 in domestic.

The 40.67 you see on Cricinfo is the domestic average + the Test average, because Test runs are added to First Class record.

In domestic only, his average is in the high 30s.

PAK should look to carry till 4th morning, so that Misbah can use the heaviest roller.

True, his Test average is higher than FC, which is expected as well. PAK domestic wickets are not suitable for touch players.

Need at least 300 target anything less than that will be tough

Isnt it quite flat for pacers? woakes has been moving the ball through out, none other has managed that

If Root and Cook neutralize Yasir and keep hi wicketless for some time, I dont think we have any depth in bowling to keep England under pressure

This question is to mamoon, what score is enough do you reckon? I reckon 300 for england to chase and we should win

I agree with a few people, now is the time to attack. Once Eng gets the new ball in another 14 overs, our tail will be in real trouble. Not saying they should blind slog, but they really need to start looking for runs right now. This is our best chance with the old/softer ball.

It's certainly a bit uneven in bounce, add to that a bit swing.
