He was a very good player of pace.

Can't believe some people still think Shehzad is quality.
 
No 50 and quick start. Sarfraz would have been catching thin air before perishing for a single digit score.

We have no quality openers. Just deal with it.
 
PCB do not have power to kick out Younis. He will threat to quit test cricket and take PCB to court

He clearly is a liability when he gets to play a long innings. I usually don't use stats but even they back me on this. Rather he should lead through astute decision making at which he is horrible at. Has no vision to know who his best players are and how to tap the best performances from them.

I was considering our series with New Zealand earlier as warm up as well. Either way, Misbah Ul Haq's record since coming to NZ speaks for itself. Haters going to hate.

I would have selected Azhar Ali instead of Nasir, at least he would survived the new ball and not expose the middle order.

Azhar Ali is the only guy in current lot of International cricketers who can play new ball with reliability. He played most number of new balls when we last visited England and SA. More important he could have being developed to do that job, Pakistan went for Tula style batsmen for ODI rather than better defense players. All Tulas is not a good strategy.

Azhar and Harris are the only guys who have mental strength to play in this pressure situation.
 
Can't wait for the WC to be over and get rid of all these pathetic passengers in this team.

agreed , he scored centuries and averaged in 40s in australia against the likes of mcgrath and warne.

I'm sorry but you are wrong. He's a reliable and experienced batsman. I don't know what stats you are talking about. You're probably basing your entire analysis based on 1 or 2 games of his entire career that he is infamous for. Even in those games people only see what they want and don't look at the entire picture.
 
Misbah take unnecessary risk on singles i mean why you need a reverse sweep just to take a single?
 
Its depend on Misbah and Waqar whether to drop YK or get booted and humiliated after WC.

Sarfaraz would make a perfect 4, 5 . his ability of milking spinners and improvisations can really help us when our run rate is clogged.
However, anyone who proposes that he should open or play as a hitter is plain stupid

After World Cup, we need to try out Babar Azam and Sami Aslam at top of the order. Expect Babar Azam to be really good and my expectation from Sami isn't that great but I hope he is better than these hacks.

I asked a simple question did i criticized him my friend that you are answering me like that? I hardly see any other player regularly playing reserve sweep for taking a single other than Misbah

Nope. Azhar is only good at keeping out the new ball. His outings in India and SA prove this.

Ask him to score off it and he is the worse of the lot.
 
If forced to make a choice I would opt for Sarfaraz over Yk.

Misbah has been our highest scorer in all the games played in NZ so far.

You'd rather we scored 100 odd off of 30 balls and had a team full of Afridi wannabe's?
 
Why all the negatives, we are just a average side whose participation in this world cup is to make up the numbers rather than aim for glory!. We have to be realistic

At least he can see out the new ball and not expose the middle order, unlike these bunch of jokers giving catching practise to slip.
 
I predict the same pattern ...

75 in first 20... 105 at end of 30 overs and expecting 150 runs in last 20.. from lower order...

With a pathetic top 3 like pakistans where we top 3 usually always fail and we hardly get any runs from them will struggle to chase or post any decent totals in this world cup, its like a one legged man in an butt kicking contest
 
moeen and tredwell should be taken for runs ... or just milk their bowling for singles and odd boundaries..

Right now Biggest problem is not loosing wickets in first 7-10 overs. We need reliability. You need experience and quality defense against seamers. One hack after the other is not a solution. Even SA cannot survive without Amla, India miss the trick by leaving out Vijay and opted for Dhawan.

yeah not looking too fluent today but generally he is pretty comfortable against spin. handled narine with ease in his debut series
