Andre Russell played in the Birmingham club league a couple of years ago and those who played against him have said to me he can hit it just as huge as Pollard and Gayle.

A spinner needs to come asap.

Who the hell is this? :))) :)))

Kid looks an amazing bat.
guy has a list A average of 33.

There's so many bits and pieces players it's ridiculous. But this guy in domestic, seems to be a genuinally great bowler, as well as being handy with the bat. Average of 33 with the bat, and 19 with the ball? Very impressive.

Pollard is just a slogger, don't think he's ever carried his side through against a good bowling attack. This Russell looks to have a half decent technique, against pace anyway.

Impressive?!? The guy looks like he could be Gary Sobers' baap! :hafeez

England missing Anderson now :)))

Always a danger bringing in Tremlett suddenly for one match.

Agreed, they have a lot of match-winners. They are maybe the most dangerous team of the tournament, inconsistent and a bit shaky, but a lot of players who can turn the match.

Gayle. Bravo. Pollard. Roach.

West Indies vs Pakistan QF would be epic.

Gee, why have you especially bestowed this honor to be slaughtered on us?

England have been consistently appealing for LBW's off the bat today :))

It is hard to maintain an average over 30 without decent technique. The sloggers usually average low 20s.

He could become a good all rounder. He could become the all rounder Sammy never was :)))

Future Captain!

They want to bring Swann back, but he's only got 3 overs left.

This game is reminding me of the CT trophy final between the two!

Come on West indies!

West Indies | 6/188 | 34 Overs | Need 56 runs to win from 96 balls

6 off the over!

Almost threw it away. 188/6.

Should take the PP. Might force Swann on and he can be hit with the field in.

Even though an English defeat here is gonna help us , but i don't want them to get knocked out :(

C'mon England !! Win here and then i'd like us to get into QF by beating WI thereby 'earning' our QF match

Apparently Russell is a junior 100m champion :usainbolt

West Indies | 6/192 | 35 Overs | Need 52 runs to win from 90 balls

4 off the over!

W.I need to just play calmly here and put away the odd bad ball! No need for anything stupid!

Come on West Indies! Nearly there now. Just 3 and a half per over with 4 wickets left. Just carry on like this picking up the singles and they'll be fine.

KKWC, who you supporting for this match?

Swann back, pretty much W.I need to see these two spinners off!

lol.

It seems this russell could get in either as a batsman or bowler.

Good technique, and smart batsman.

West Indies | 6/197 | 36 Overs | Need 47 runs to win from 84 balls

5 off the over!

i think its fair to day that russel will be named MOM regardless of the result....4 wickets and a potential match-winning inns with the bat...ON DEBUT!

Less than 50 needed!

And the fact that they have no pressure with the number of deliveries remaining is great for them! No rash shots, no high skyers.
