AND RP SINGH> HOW THE HELL COULD HE JUST LET THAT BALL RUN INTO THE BOUNDARY ?. This is the difference between subcontinental players and the aussies, even if the aussies were defending 350 you will see them diving and jumping around to save every run. Aussies have every right to be on top while the subcontinent has players like this these, sorry but we just dont cut it..

It hasn't been his greatest performance, but even the better umpires can have bad days at the office.

Taufel's performance in the test series was very poor along with that other fat umpire, can't remember his name.

No.. snicko can be wrong. remember Karthik's wicket in the test match, where snicko showed NOT OUT but Karthik admitted he nicked... having siad that, i don't know what happened today as I didn't watch..

I agree with Uzi. I normally rate Dar very high. He is just not having a good day today but it has cost India dear. Matches in this series have been very close and these key decisions almost decide the match.

India got away with two wickets in their innings as well. It's not as if all the bad decisions have been against you in this match.
 
Prior needs to go ...... he is truly awful with both bat and gloves .

That means umpiring has been poor and that's what we are talking about. Out of the two decisions you are referring to one was out the other (Dhoni) was not.

The pitch is good, no real movement off it. Just some good bowling in this match.

You can't compare it like this. It's match situation and Player you look at. If England at 18/2 get two crucial wrong one's (KP and Collingwood) and then reprieved later when they are 110/8, it doesn't constitute a parallel.

Tendu was given out when his bat hit his pad.

1 decision against them.
 
Dhoni wasn't plumb. Hawk eye showed brushing leg stump and there was a doubt that he might have nicked it. It was at best marginal.

Bell is punishing anything short of a length. 3 pull shots now all sailing to the mid wicket boundary. Poor bowling by India.

What about Prior not given. If Dhoni was plumb then Dar has just reprived Bell as well. Hawk eye showing ball would have clipped leg.

and I also said he had an inside edge so no LBW. Hotspot seemed to show that. I don't know if the ball hit the pad first

It hit the pad. It was quite clear in the replay.

I would never give that out. Clipping off ot leg...its just too tight to give it out. A umpire can project if the ball is about to "just clip the stumps."
 
Bell gone run out. Suicidal running by him yet again. There was never a single in that yet he came charging down the pitch. It wasn't even his call either. If England lose this i'll kill him.

Relax Rob, we still got this. collo is a good steady hand on him and thne we Shah as well. Also Broad can hold up an end.

Congrats England, you guys deserved to win this match and the series, the series has been thoroughly enjoyable.
 
a very good series (both tests and ODIs) but the last match was an anti-climax. disappointing last game but atleast one game out of 7 was going to be

lol, when Pietersen came to the boundery we all boo'd him and he signals us all to shush and watch the match lol :D

Yeyyyyy. Hopefully we have a good 20-20 cup, and is this a bit too much to ask...but could we tie or win the series in Sri Lanka as well?? The side that beat Australia in the ODI tournament was a good side, and the side that won this series was a good side, which shows that if we apply ourselves and go out with the right gameplan, then England fans can taste ODI victories a lot more often than the team has let them do in recent years.

Don't stand a chance in Sri Lanka. Murali will run through the English batsmen as easily as he did against the Bangladeshis.

Great victory by England. They deserved to win ODI series. Well played India as well, this series will go in history books.
