7 overs 99 runs ... close to 3 runs every ball. Any dot ball will kill england from now on ...

it''s over ... really!
If I were you, I'd be a little more worried about the run rate. There are already two teams with 4 points so if India are to quality it will have to be on rr.

see when you say it like that, it seems impossible. But when you take into account that India scored 80 runs off the last 5 overs.....it sounds a little more possible. In fact, new Zealand scored 81 off 5 overs against india last time.

That's true. Bad bowling by Indians. They are losing any chance of qualifying for the semis.

That's if India beat SA handsomely too.

Now that's it. any chance of England getting that score is vanished.

Now we have someone who can hit 6 sixes an over. So we can beat anyone! :19:
It only happens once in a life time for a batsmen and that has happed for Yuvraj.

I think I can surely hit stumps better than many dressed in blue out there
The how come you are not playing? :13:

India is not too far behind in NRR. win of 40 runs will probably give them the best NRR in the group

Good luck! Would love to see another Pak vs India encounter further up the tournament :)

now all england need is one over with 6 sixes to get back into this.
Maybe Collingwood should retire hurt and send in Mascarenas and have India bowl Yuvraj one over so England can at teast have 5 sixes.

right now the difference in the match is the 36 run over. India was 148-2 at this point and Eng is 152-3

Somehow that's very good point. I'm happy in a way that he is out in bench waiting for his turn ... making him wait is just stupid

16th over with 16 runs, maybe if they follow this next 2 overs should concede 17 and 18 respectively.

Maybe the finals? ;-)

Now wouldn't that be amazing :) the two teams whose exit from the 50-overs CWC 2007 was so ignominious, well, Paksters much more devastating for Woolmer. And Shah hits a six!

Great catch - by the lad in the crowd! Eng mangt have asked him if he can take Broad's place in the next match...

Jadeja scored 51 off last 3 overs in 1996 WC against Pakistan. Can any Englishmen do a Jadeja?

You never know, all he needs is one over ti finish India.

:))) :))) :)))

Ooh one run short of 17 in 17th over. Now England has to score 19 runs in next over to keep up with my analogy.

Terrible bowling this from India. I don't see them having any chance against SA.

for that to happen you need to pray for Ind. victory tomorrow, you game for it?

Ok now India in trouble. Mascarenas is the new man, now if only Yuvraj can bowl the last over.

India might well pay for this. They had a golden opportunity to boost their NRR. They need to bowl 3 good overs here could go a long way.

Not happening. Their nemesis is here.

Now they really need a Yuvraj or maybe they can have Yuvraj bat for England?

Against the Saffies? Hell yes! SA always beat Pakistan, would rather lose to my Indian brothers :)

India will win this but it has been a really awful stuff in the field.

Things are different now.

yuvaraj heroics has saved the match for india. otherwise england might have won this

No way England can make this score now but they have already affected India's nrr.

Has these two term ever been used combined in this site? If not, you deserve an award dude!

Well now England need a Yuvraj, last over 36 runs.

Well that's it for England. 2 off the first 2 balls. 34 needed in last four balls.

No need for NRR.

NZ is having an NRR of .05

If india able to win today and also SA they would be easily more than .05 NRR anyway...

Better RR will help only to get NO 1 position in this group.

No! Would love to see Indo/Pak final, nothing's changed :)

Catch!
Only time would tell. Indians have to beat SA first to have any chance of making it to the semis.

Congrats India. Well played Kevin & England!

Get ready Saffies ... India is coming along with atleast 2 Pakistan fans' support (sagar + filosfee) at least

Goodnight folksys...

India RR: 10.90
England RR: 10.00

India's total NRR is now +0.200.

which is less than both New Zealand and South Africa. This means a close win will not be enough against South Africa. But they don't need a massive win either.

No..Broad over made the difference
Hello, does it make any dofference? Broad bowled that over and Yuvraj played that over.

I guess 6x6s were the difference. Noramlly you expect to score 12-15 runs/over in the last 2-3 overs but going for 36 means you gave up 20 extra runs pretty much the difference here.
