Pietersen and Anderson both didn't go for that catch, left it to each other :D

Pietersens lips were dry so he couldn't go for the catch. Just applying lip balm now.

Bah. Kind of had to review that though, it looked good live.

watching swann bowl i reckon the best way to handle him would be on a per delivery basis. As in dont pre medidate or take any special precautions. Just play as the ball comes. Nothing too threatning about him as yet.

Pointless reviewing caught behinds without hotspot.

I thought on sunday Mahela was definately out caught behind, but was not given on the review. any thoughts?

To be fair, we are in Nagpur. All the Indian pundits will tell you that it is a simply terrible pitch for bowlers. 2 for 20 (could have been 3 for 20) is a quality display off 7 overs here.

The way the UDRS has been handled and implemented since its inception has been a bit of a disaster really. Woefully inconsistent.

holland slipping up here. They need to start finding the boundaries if they are to get a total that will test england. I dont think 280 plus is possible now.

Aim for too high and Holland will be 190 all out. They should just aim for 245ish and take it from there.

Sad that the Aussies have nabbed Dirk Nannes becuase with him in the side, they might be able to defend the decent target that they are about to put up.

bowl change. Now that the bowl will come on to the bat better, I think holland should accelerate and maybe take the batting powerplay.

They've still got 16 overs left, which is a lot. A full member could score 300 from here. But as long as we keep taking wickets, the target should end up as a very gettable one. This is the difference between a full member and an associate member. The associates are just not used to controlling games over long periods of time.

We need to get Tender Starter out. The rest are surely village players.

Swann has bowled superbly today. Is everyone forgetting that he has been out of action for a while?

Stealing Dirk Nannes from Holland was grand theft, they would have loved to have him in the side right now

I'm from Holland so I'm fully backing Holland here :D.

The batting PP will play a vital role in the next few overs - England under pressure here!!

Is this a flat pitch? Then I am sure England will chase this down easily.

Or is it very good batting from Netherlands? Then I hope they can get another 80-90 runs here and it could be a really interesting chase.

Very flat pitch. England are almost certain victors against this team on this pitch. But who knows...

Hope The dutch can get 80+ runs in last 10 overs! England are in a game here!

Dutch 188/4 After 40 overs

Should use pp with these two

pretty abysmal over from Collingwood there.

we really don't want to be chasing more than 250.

From Cricinfo:

40.4
Collingwood to de Grooth, 1 run, de Grooth doing just the right thing and picking off a single to get Sachin ten Doeschate back on strike

Is it that easy?

Just4Kicks: It is really unfortunate that immensely talented guys like Ryan Doeschate, Andy Flower, Murray Goodwin, Heath Streak, Neil Johnson had to play for minnows...it would've been so heart breaking to perform well all the time and still end up on the losing side every time...

well said
