I am sure Ahterton (who lately has been very biased) must be mentioning the "flat" pitch whenever the Dutch boys hit a boundary?

If Holland can get 270-280, it'll be very competitive. They still have a power play?

It is a very flat pitch though. You don't see many games at Nagpur (particularly tests) because the pitch is notoriously unsporting, as Bedi, Sanjay and Shastri will tell you.

Anderson is bowling abysmally here. Just ugly to watch.

Seeing Swann's spell, surely the pitch has something in it for the spinners. Interesting to see how Netherlands bowl

Lols once you take a seaming/bouncy wicket away from these crap bowlers they get hammered all over the place, even by the minnows!

Broad MUST hold his emotions during the batting powerplay!!

They bowled very well on flat pitches in the Ashes. I think they like the red ball, but not the white ball not so much. Even so the RR is still under 5, they are not being 'hammered'.

Bukhari still to come as well and he can smash a cricket ball.

Interesting to see how Power Play goes but good work from Netherlands.

I think Swann is just the daddy. He picks up similar figures in a lot of ODIs.

When a minnow team is striking your main strike bowler in 'Anderson' at 5 an over, you are getting hammered.

Not surprised at all. Like the rest of the England fast bowlers he is only good on supporting wickets I am afraid. Crap bowlers depending too much on the supporting conditions.

England having a long discussion here - I'm sure they have a interesting tactic up their sleeve.

read my reply above.

and 4.98 run rate is not hammered.

Fumble from Matt Prior, Whippy you wanna call him rubbish like you called Haddin yesterdai?

Good attempted yorker from Broad, need more of those.

We will either see alot of runs in the PP or alot of wickets go down?

Netherlands should just hit the ball back to Broad and run, he will never get them out. :))

not really because Prior has kept immaculately for some time. anyone who watches England games without the chip on the shoulder will tell you this. I remember Haddin dropped 2 catches and missed a stumping in 1 session in the Ashes. Rubbish player.

Good man Broad.

Very sloppy from England in the field today. That missed catch today Haha. I can't even call it a drop catch because no one went to catch it HAHA!.

You just need Umar Gul .

I would love a player like Gul in ODIs. Broad is probably the closest we have to him, but Broad needs to learn how to reverse the ball - Gul is the master of making the white ball talk. Broad's variation in the last ten is very handy though.

Flat wickets in Australia are nowhere near flat wickets in the sub-cdontinent. In Australi you will get alot of bounce as well, and stop bringing in the Ashes all the time.

Besides you are playing a minnow now. If they bowl like this against SA or India you better switch off the TV then.

Why haven't umpires stopped England from throwing on the pitches to scuff up the ball. If that was Pakistan!

why would I stop bringing in the Ashes? it was a great example of the skill on offer on this England team. or should we disregard the latest Pakistani success in an analysis of them too?

I would say that the bowling has been toothless apart from Broad and Swann. Hopefully they will get away with it today and improve as the tournament goes on.

But Whippy, ODIs are a totally different ball game than test cricket.

of course. I've made every distinction I can between the red ball and the white ball, but at the end of the day, today has not been a true reflection of what we're capable of.

I must say, that was a delicious straight drive. He deserves a hundred.
