I’ll be honest here I have a feeling that Pakistan will win 2 - 0 against England this time around..
England test team is not that good as we saw in Australia and New Zealand where they were 23/9 or something..
Pakistan on the other hand have a young team and they do not have much pressure on them, if they lose they will face backlash but eventually it will be covered up by the fact without MisYou the test team isn’t that strong yet and might take a couple of years to build up again.
As history has shown us Pakistan always perform the best when Everyone has counted them out.
Also the biggest trump card this series would be Amir.. He hasn’t performed as per everyone’s expectations since he came back barring an odd performance here and there and I think this series is there for his taking.. There are already murmurs going around that he should be dropped (read threads in PP) and Amir is the one player whenever his position is under threat turns up big time and dominates like Wasim at his peak used to.
I think Amir will repeat his 2009/10 performance again and will come out swinging like he used to and create havoc in a weak England batting order.
From batting point of view I believe you won’t have a stand out performer but due to the exploit of Amir and others Pakistani batsmen who won’t set the series on fire will not need many runs to win.. In 8 innings mostly different players will score runs and we might see a century or two BT at most we will see Pakistan score 300-370 in first innings and take a lead of 100-120 because of bowlers bowling England out cheaply.
I think Azhar Ali, Azad and Harris Sohail all will score fifities and maybe one hundred amongst them whereas Sarfaraz and faheem and shadab will contribute in the lower order with few runs..
This is the perfect chance for Pakistan to win and I believe they will actually win this time..
So congrats to all PPers in advance..
