Even Pakistani batsmen will get 60 runs of Yasir in 10 overs.
 
I don’t want to complain too much but it’s shocking how Yasir gets to play despite his horrendous perfomances against Australia and the practice matches against county clubs. Somethings not right with the management.
 
Great bowling by Yasir!!! Hopefully he will give up 130+ runs to justify his selection.

Best right arm offie is Bilal Asif but he's a defensive option, not a wicket taker.

6 out of 6 short balls from yasir . . that is why he has not been able to bowl well in ODis . . cuz he tries to ball quickly and he loses his line . . and there's no sane voice out there who can tell him this . . look at how kuldeep bowls . . or adil rashid . . yasir is no imran tahir . . you need to slow it up . . give it flight . . and give it time to spin . . you'll get hit but you'll be more dangerous

I don’t expect him to take further part in the series. Viral infection takes 2 weeks to heal completely.
 
Yasir Shah wasn’t even preferred over Hasan Khan in Lahore Qalandars yet Inzi somehow decided he’s our second best spinner in LOI.
 
never enjoyed a phainty to Pak bowler, but Yasir make me do so in One days,,,, I mean such clueless decision is nothing shirt of crime.

Best captain since Imran Khan doesn’t know how to utilize Yasir either. He is not a container, but he brought him on too late to take wickets.

Even if he flukes a few wickets here, I think the damage is done. The match is pretty much over.
 
I bet if Yasir gives 500+ runs in 4 games and Shadab is injured the management will keep Yasir for World Cup.

Word is that Imran Khan wanted him. He also got that sitara/medal recently, and someone high in the government really loves him.

He's not going anywhere.

I am positive now that Yasir Shah is playing because of a sifarish of someone high up and if that's not the case, this whole management needs to be sacked.
 
Why can't the management just accept that Yasir is only suited to test matches in uae. Its like they are in complete denial

He’s also put on weight and his fielding, which was excellent a couple of years ago, has gone down hill.
 
This team is overkill for Pakistan by a mile. England should have played their B team like other teams did against us and still won

Why do they keep selecting Yasir Shah? Do we not have any decent LOI wrist spinner in a big cricket loving nation like Pakistan. This is getting embarrassing now seeing him bowl and getting hit all over the place. Looks like he is down in confidence also. Will this effect Yasir the test bowler also???

Or worse yet, Yasir Shah's selection for the 2015 WC. Yes, it was just as bad then too, but for some reason, 4 years on, the Revolutionary has selected Yasir for maintaining a splendid average of 47.

The ridiculous thing is. . it is soooo simple what's wrong with yasir in ODIs . . he bowls too flat and too quick! and he loses his line that way .. and the more he gets hit, the flatter he goes . .

He tries to follow the Imran Tahir style of bowling . . but neitehr does he have the skiddiness or Imran Tahir nor the varities . .

He needs to slow it up and flight it . . I can guarantee better results!
 
A belter of a pitch here and yasir getting hammered again isn't much of a surprise. Imad has bowled well and faheem done OK. I think junaid should be playing here, he is a tight, controlled bowler.

He's talking nonsense unless he was talking about wrist spinners specifically. Imad Wasim bowls wicket to wicket and is successful on LOIs.

Wonder what is the thought process behind our bowling. I can't help but think Imad is in the team to deliver 10 overs for 40 runs which makes Pakistan happy. Don't worry about wickets, just contain.
 
You know what I miss about Pakistani teams of old? The killer and aggressive mentality. Keeping the slips and swing bowlers bowling a full and probing length to look for the edge or lbw. Now it looks like we are happy to bowl length and let them take single and doubles and we don’t go for wickets. Look at hasan. Bowling length ball after length. Why was he successful two years ago? Full off cutters that helped him get bowled and lbw. He is just a defensive option now. Sarfaraz removes slips after three overs. Imad got an edge in his first over but there was no slip.

That’s what I miss about our great bowling teams at f the past!
 
playing yasir shah in odis will kill his confidence in tests also , horrible decision by team management.

Pakistan should try something different and send Asif Buttler at 3 or 4 today.

Slows it down a touch . . pitches it up! already has a better over . . slow it down even more!! Go closer to the Kuldeep and Rashid mode of bowling

The same way IK wanted Younis selected for 2015 World Cup. And got him in.

Maybe Yasir reminds him of what Mushtaq did in 92, but it's too late now.
 
Spin is always the way to go against non Asian teams . Yasir needs confidence . Pitches this summer will be very good for spinners .
 
Yasir improves with a few overs.. point is will he get aggressive fields?

Imad is successful in T20s but not in ODIs where while he can contain, he's not penetrative enough.
 
I hope Shaheen will not be bowling pies at 80 mph in the World Cup.
