Terrific come back from shaheen here. A wicket and a handful of runs. This kis keeps impressing.

If only one of the others could get a wicket here.
 
I hope he keeps Yasir on.. I bet Yasir can get a wicket in the next couple of overs!
 
These are the kind of pitches you wish you had 90mph bowlers.

People saying its the conditions should realize that our bowling is Shaheen as a first 4 over wicket taking threat, Faheem bowls straight, Yasir it’s best I dont say anything may god help him and Inzi, imad bowls straight no spin nothing not sure why hes playing international cricket. Youre only hope for wickets is Hassan Ali and he has been inconsistent with his length bowling too short, we dont utilize him with new ball he is the only one that can seam it. If we had the courage to bring back Wahab and had a healthy Shadab you would help your wicket taking ability. Good luck winning matches just bowling straight.
 
Imam needs to bat at 85 SR, play less dots and more running between the wickets. Fakhar should bat normally which is aggressively. He’s much better when he attacks hard.
 
Mickey is a smart guy. He knows how to make Pakistan feel good. Even after a whitewash, he makes over the top statements and Pakistanis forget everything.
 
Our team has looked demotivated and dejected since the Asia Cup humiliation. Much like our fans, our players’ heads were in the clouds and they thought they were invincible superstars after the Champions and Trophy and the minnow bashing that followed.

The likes of Sarfraz came up with stupid statements of how India is afraid of us and the likes of Hasan were talking about taking 10 wickets against India etc., but the reality check in Asia Cup brought them back to earth and showed them their place.

Since then, the morale has been low and it appears that Mickey has given up as well.
 
Yasir bowls short . . he goes for 4 . . . Yasir bowls fast . . goes for 4 . . COME ON'! Someone had to have been smart enough to tell him this in the dressing room in the last 5 years . . For goodness sake! So unfortunate
 
Yasir going at economy of 7 today, still better then going for 10 per over
 
Shadab Khan is on different level to Shah in ODI’s...
Let’s hope he gets fit and Shah is on the next plane back to Pakistan

Agreed. Pakistani players used to be tough guys who played well under pressure, not anymore though.

That's because he's worse than a part timer Shadab isn't a world beater himself.
 
Yasir showed good signs but I still don’t think he should be playing ODIs.. if he does, you have to attack with him.. you just can’t use him as a defensive option.. leggier rarely make good defensive and economical bowlers.. bowl with a slip or two with him

I know. Which is why I rate him as a very good defensive spinner. What Pakistan need is good wicket taking wrist spinner to partner Imad.

Why is yasir too full? Is batsman standing next to wicket keeper?
 
What has changed youre considering dropping Fakhar but want to stick with Imam, keep Imad in youre team. Tell me one game Imad has won with his bowling in ODIs.

Fakhar is good but unpredictable. Imam is a bit more consistent although he needs to improve his SR.
We need two spinners. Shadab and Imad, there is no other option.

Shadab is an excellent ODI bowler and a far superior fielder and batsmen.
He brings balance to the team.

Without Shadab, our chances of winning games drops drastically..
 
I think management is adamant to keep Yasir in case of Shadab injury.

Exactly, Yasir isn’t even fit let alone a good bowler in LOI. He has simply nothing to offer.
 
Yasir is playing because Shadab is out.. but he is not playing the World Cup. Ou guys need to get your facts right
 
Why dont we drop Imad and rather bring in someone that can actually spin the bowl like Zafar Gohar or even Umer Khan

And you think Yasir will do a better job than Amir? Even in UAE pitches he will be useless. We didn't have anyone else besides Shadab, Imad and Hafeez in the CT squad. Yasir will be a waste of spot.
 
Yasir will most likely be out of the picture unless he takes a few wickets in this game.. doesn’t look likely

I won't select Yasir but I would select a spinner alonside with Imad
 
Shinwari might go for 70 runs but he will take 3 wickets.


I would rather select him than a bowler getting no wicket and going for 50 runs

Even if he is 50 percent he will play.. Pakistan has a history of sticking with injured players in big tournaments. Koi nahi bahir bhettey ya World Cup mein.. Shadab will play even if he is standing on one leg and the team will let him.
 
It is an absolute disgrace that the likes of Fahim Ashraf and Junaid Khan are there but Usman Khan is not.

Heck, you could have played him instead of Yasir!
 
And we are being led to believe that Pakistans bowling attack will win the world cup for them. What a farce. This bowling lineup is only better than Sri Lanka. Even Afghanistan has a better bowling lineup. Incredible humiliation is on the cards in the world cup. A 7th place would be respectable.

Let’s not kid ourselves. Afghanistan is such an overrated team. Even though Pakistan is sh*t, we’re miles ahead of Afghanistan in all departments.

I agree, he should have been given more chances. Unlike the other left arm orthodox bowlers, he actually spins the ball.
 
I think looking at the drooped shoulders of our fast bowlers, not taking shinwari is a mistake.. that guy always runs in hard no matter what and he gives 100 percent every ball!
