Hoping for Haris Sohail to perform again today, scores another 100 and books his place for CT 2017..
 
Last game before the deadline of the announcement of the squad for the Champions Trophy.

I'm guessing Yamin has probably made it now that Balochistan don't play another game before April 25th, and he's made the most of his chances.

For this game, Inzi probably should and will keep his eyes on the following:

Haris Sohail
Hasan Khan
Hussain Talat
Mohammad Hafeez (WI Tests, if reports are to be believed)
Sami Aslam (Test recall, maybe?)
Sohail Khan

Fahim Ashraf
Hammad Azam
Junaid Khan (he's getting beat while Sohail continues to impress...)
Kamran Akmal
Umar Akmal
Umar Amin

Big game for most of the aforementioned players.

hoping for a good performance by Hammad. His last season was quite good, this one has been poor so far.
 
I wish Good Luck to the players but I hope that Punjab and Sindh both fail for the good of Pakistan Cricket because they are ripe with nepotism and TTF.
 
Hoping for Haris Sohail and Sohail Khan to do well today so they can be picked for Champions Trophy.

Also, reports are that Umar Akmal are coming back, he needs to get a good score today to justify this otherwise I don't reckon PP will be too happy :') .

Also, hope Sami Aslam gets a good score, don't think he can play CT now but hopefully a big innings and he can be sent to the West Indies for the 2nd and 3rd tests

hope Amin and Haris sohail get centuries today..

Amin will be tested today against a good bowling attack...

Expecting the akmal family to fail against a good attack once again...
 
Sami Aslam seems to have some sort of personal offense against Punjab or maybe because of being ignored for selection. :))

Extremely uncharacteristic of him the way he is batting though very enjoyable. All of the shots have been good cricketing shots from the middle of the bat.
 
JK is finished - apart from dodgy action, he has lost his swing & pace as well.
 
Sami is bludgeoning the spinners. Yet the captain is keeping them on against him.
 
punjab team selection is shocking..only one fast bowler and that is junaid.....whatis the role of arsal sheikh here aor raza ali dar??? zulfi bab is also there ..
 
JK shouldn't be taken to CT - it's evident in open eyes now. Umpires in bilateral ties might not have called him, but PCK shouldn't risk him in CT. That wicket ball wasn't even question mark.
 
two new batsmen at the crease... hope haris make another ton today.. excellent drive for 4 to start with...
 
It will be a disaster of highest order if Haris isnt picked for CT.
There is no one in Pakistan who can play such shots which Haris can against fast bowling added with the solid defence.

I decided to watch some part today to see both lefties in action (3 actually, Talat as well), and there is absolutely no excuse for Inzi not to pick Haris definitely, Amin as well. But, I believe he had made his mind 2 months back - Umar & Azhar to be dropped from WI tour as an eye wash & bring them back for the big fish. There was absolutely no reason to pick Zakir for WI, who had a poor outing in just previous domestic tournament & an inferior version of Shehzad, at the age of 33. Inzi even set the platform long back, saying that for CT, he'll consider "Experience".
 
Amla scores 65 (40) today, 48 from boundaries. Looks in really good touch.

Amin should be in for Fakhar. Harris for Hafeez. And Talat for Kami.
 
Haris 20 off 22 and Hafeez 15 off 29.
The difference b/w these is so evident to to see.
What a tragedy it will be to see a flawed player like Hafeez at no.4 over Haris for CT.

I will select Haris for this 20 alone. Looked in no trouble against fast bowling. We need a technical master against seam and swing for CT.
 
MoHa is playing number games once more - on this track & against that bowling, he'll make a nice 100 at 100 SR to justify his value - that's coming at 8+ RR & scoring 15 of 30.

It'll be sold well also, for that the customer already is convinced & decided.
 
Whether he scores here or not. Hafeez will have a torrid time in CT IA.

One thing is established Umar Akmal does not have the brains to be a captain. These two are milking the spinners and Hafeez has even started to attack them, but he continues to employ spinners.


Goes to show how there is severe lack of grey matter between his ears, no wonder he always failed as a batsman.
 
Cloudy, overcast, windy conditions and Umar Akmal is bowling spinner after spinner. Mashallah.

Fakhar has been the pick of the captains for me in this tourney.
 
Haris Sohail with only 2 boundaries has a better SR than Hafeez who has struck 5 4s and a 6.

trying to rob a century by playing slow as usual... anyhow doesnt matter he will be selected for CT because he is the professor of pak cricket and everyone in the team and outside the team loves him..
 
So Muhammad Hafeez hit 6 fours and 1 six and still only managed a SR of 84.

That is 30 of his 65 runs in 7 balls. He scored the other 35 runs in 70 balls.


Inzi must be very proud.

Even if he is selected, Hafeez will occupy the crucial number four position and Harry will sit on the bench. However, I seriously doubt Inzi is competent enough to select Haris.
