FM Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari collects Rs1.03tr in donations from UN countries in one hour

Ok so if he collected so much then what is this rona dhona for?

Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Monday that donors had committed to give more than $8 billion to help Pakistan recover from last year’s devastating floods.

The pledges came as the International Conference on Climate Resilient Pakistan kicked off in Geneva. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is co-hosting the conference along with United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

The purpose of the day-long moot — attended by heads of state and government and other stakeholders — is to marshal international support to rehabilitate the population affected by super floods and reconstruct damaged infrastructure in a climate-resilient manner.

PM Shehbaz sought $8bn from Pakistan’s international partners over the next three years to rebuild the country as Guterres called for massive support to aid the rebuilding effort.

Unless the donor's have another agenda no one is giving a penny to these crooks.

Bikaris in full mode! Their fans will praise this begging now. Yes, Bilawal is an expert bikari.

They ate the country and now want others to save it from default. Best for the country to default so all the crooks are fully exposed. Khan should stay well clear.

The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Monday fired a broadside at Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet members for allegedly spending a huge amount on their “flopped” trip to Geneva to attend the donor conference since the moot was held via video link, as no important leader had turned up at the event.

The party’s senior vice president Fawad Chaudhry said France, the host, gave $10 million, but not a single important leader participated in the conference.

He questioned that if the entire conference was to be held through video link, why was there a need to travel to Geneva, according to a statement issued by the party’s central media department.

“The money did not come, but several lakhs of dollars were spent on the visits of the prime minister and his cabinet [members],” he lamented.

And he should have added the even better news, not a paisa will reach the poor sods who's lives have been destroyed and the money will be shared between a few families and Generals to be safely invested in Dubai, London, Paris etc

These donations are just stop gap measures. When will the donations be used to make a long term impact for these guys in education or to improve their overall financial situation. Is there any university in Sindh where Bilawal holds power which in the long run allows the people there to improve their livelihoods?

This is all non-sense. They will donate rations of food and they will run out a year later and again we will have to head out to beg to the international community.

They're not donations, a large chunk of it are loans ie. more borrowing.

One year on from floods, millions of Pakistani children still need urgent support, warns UNICEF

Agency says its appeal of $173.5mn to provide life-saving support remains only 57% funded

Millions of children in Pakistan remain in need of humanitarian assistance and access to essential services as the country still teeters with the effects of historic floods which devastated Pakistan last year, warned the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on Friday.

The UN agency, in a statement, said the recovery and rehabilitation efforts remain underfunded.

UNICEF estimates there are still 8 million people, around half of whom are children, that continue to live without access to safe water in flood-affected areas. Over 1.5 million children require lifesaving nutrition interventions in flood-affected districts.

The agency informed that its appeal of $173.5 million to provide life-saving support remains only 57% funded.

“Vulnerable children living in flood-affected areas have endured a horrific year,” said Abdullah Fadil, UNICEF Representative in Pakistan.

“As the monsoon rains return, the fear of another climate disaster looms large. Recovery efforts continue, but many remain unreached, and the children of Pakistan risk being forgotten.”

Where has Billos trillion gone. Two possibilities- it wasn't offered or they have stolen it. Billo the clown needs to explain

It was done to show down Imran.

Who cares about the people?
We knew that but do you remember certain contributers telling Billo had rebuilt PKs relations, whereas in fact the clown spent billions from a poor country going on extended holidays
