In a recent development, the Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and the founder of Pakistan’s one of the most influential political parties, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

This announcement was made by the Pakistan World Alliance (PWA) members who belong to the Norwegian Political Party “Partiet Sentrum’.

It is important to note here that this is not the first time that Imran Khan has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Earlier in 2019, PTI’s founder was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to promote peace in the Asian region, particularly between Pakistan and India.

A resolution was submitted in the Pakistan parliament to endorse his nomination, citing his decision to release Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan as a de-escalation measure.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee receives hundreds of nominations each year and selects the winner through an eight-month screening and decision-making process.

PMLN and army are getting Pakistan pumped left right and centre. Terrorism is on the rise. Baloch movement is at its peak because eof lack of democracy. KPK has had enough. Afghanistan is attacking directly. Elections have been stolen.

I don’t think that was the primary factor. IK’s fate was sealed after that UN speech, with not only the Western powers but also the major Arab leaders wanting him out of office.

NS didn't battle the Generals for civilian Supremacy, he battled them for the spoils of commissions. That is a big difference. NS has led a millitary coup against his people and stolen an election, now if the criteria of Noble prize was flats in London and how to launder money from commissions then he will win.

I'm a big IK supporter and that's largely because he is a principled human which is very rare in a society like Pakistan.

Having said that I personally feel the Nobel Peace Prize should go to an individual who can bring an end to all the destruction going in the world currently. Gaza is suffering inhumane atrocious, Ukraine have got millions displaced, and we have expansionist US regime in place which is a threat to global peace. In times like these any individual who can make meaningful strides in bringing any peace anywhere in the world should be in the reckoning for this Nobel Peace Prize.

What I like about this nomination is that it would remind global powers like US and EU that an innocent man is behind bars and country literally in ruins at their behest. US literally vouched for this regime change and EU turned a blind eye on all atrocities given they need Pakistan to support Ukraine's ammunition supply. The global powers used Pakistan literally to their benefit and IK is a constant reminder of their wrongdoing.
