Just finished watching the six-hour television series that aired in France during 2002. It was the most expensive work of television made in France with it costing around $46,330,000.

Thoroughly enjoyed the performances by Christian Clavier and Isabella Rossellini and there was a decent support cast with the exception of Murat, who sounded a bit too English for my liking. John Malkovich was as Machiavellian as I had dreamt of Talleyrand actually being with a ever-present grin in the corner of his mouth.

The show was split into four episodes with each being one and a half hours long.

There was less focus on Napoléon’s actual campaigns and more so on his personal life (marriage to Josephine, Marie Louise, mistresses).

I want to know if anyone on here has seen it or their overall opinion of Napoléon and his impact on history?
