Game of Thrones [SPOILER ALERT]

yeah slightly hypcritical...
I watch it because its a good show, (i'm also not religious)

You should all submit to R'hllor for he is the lord of light and allows nudity.

The Kingslayer really has become a massive *****. Hopefully Lord Tywin will give him the kick up the backside he needs to sort himself out.

I enjoyed Robb's scenes this week. Chopping that blokes head off & walking off in the rain was epic!!!

The best actor in GOT has to be Charles Dance. He steals every scene he's featured in.

The ending of this episode did not have the impact last one had (Khaleesi freeing the slaves) but neverthelss Lord Tywin continues to be awesome. Its a wonder how he did not see through Arya's lies.

I believe he knew she was lying but his children told him they still had Arya and Sansa so he didn't make the connection.

Cersei (and Tyrion) are so disappointing from a Tywin point of view. Even Jaime, although capable fighter, only pulls out **** as far as Lannister interests are concerned (joining the king's guard, boning the queen, getting caught in battle, losing his hand,...).

He did. But he didn't think she would be a Stark considering the other Stark girl is such a babe in the woods. Besides, Tywin always has shown this ability to underestimate foes. Underestimated Robb Stark and almost got the shock of his life.

How ''almost''? King Robb destroyed half the army of the Lannister Basta*d and took hostage Jaime Lannister, his uncle and dad. Casterly Rock and its gold was open for the taking wasn't it for the idiocy of those surrounding our dear King in the Norf: Balon Greyjoy, Theon Greyjoy, Catelyn Tully, Edmure Tully, Lysa Tully, (Jon Snuh, Karstark). Have I forgotten someone? Oh yes, that arrogant Walder Frey wanting the hand of a King.

No wonder the Wolf King looked for some comforting when he is surrounded by incomptetent summer children. He married Talisa because he wanted to change the ideas in his hand. And, being from Volantis, she is probably good at giving head. Much better than Freys and Greywind, I would think.

When you think about it. You can blame just about everything on Catelyn Stark.

99% of all religions don't allow nudity etc, so the question is why do you watch it? :iqasim

Frankly, I don't follow any religion, although born hindu. I think the older I get the less I care for religion, which is somehow opposite cuz most people I know get more spiritual as they get older. Also, I am just fine with seeing nudity :) I love this show though, its a great show and I watch it every Sunday without fail almost on the same level as other HBO favorites like Sopranos, The Wire etc. but I have to say, I am surprised to find this many fans here. I know there is a great story line there, but come on these guys were even mocked on SNL for going overboard with nudity and sex.

Guy who's playing Roose Bolton is just as classy as Tywin Lanister. LOL i was praying for Hound's victory, he's such a character you need him alive. :)) :yk

It was good to see Stannis and Davos again. Davos is the closest thing to a good character in the series.

Arya's got fat as well. Soon she will look more like Piggy Tarly's sis rather than Jon Snah's. :inzi

Piggy Tarly's siblings are meant to be quite fit though.

You don't know overboard if you haven't seen Spartacus.

That was a ridiculous show. I still can't get over what they made out of Caesar and Cicero

One of my fav shows. I liked the concept of showing history from POV of 2 common legionnaires. The other famous historical figures were just side characters. Loved Marc Antony.

Guys imagine you were Robb Stark. Would you have executed Lord Karstark and loose half your army. This boy seems to be the split image of his father. Lot of Honour BS. That is not how wars are won. Seems like he'll meet his father's fate.

I would have sent Karstark to the Wall. And then take Casterly Rock, burn down Lannisport and flay every man that doesn't bow down to the King in the North.

And if the show's main heros were Lucius Vorenus and Titus then it is even worse than I thought. The only thing that saves it is the costumes and the elocution, as well as Cato, Marcus Antonius and Augustus.

Different tastes, understandable. But atleast give a coherent reason why you did'nt like it, how did Caesar and Cicero disappoint you? And what is wrong with our protagonists. Cicero was well potrayed imo, too bad the philosopher/orator had his hand nailed to the senate door by Pullo.

Re: Game of Thrones

Spartacus was imo one of the better shows out there because it had ridiculous amount of sex but there was a compelling story as well. I think many will try to copy it but only take the gore and sex and ignore the solid scripts. Surprising amount of depth in them.

In my college I enjoyed watching Spartacus when I was high. Could'nt watch it sober.

Actually, I have seen that show. Problem with that one is there is really no story. It's not worth watching. Instead, I can just watch porn.

That's what everybody thinks. But there is quite a bit of depth. An example is in season 3, the slaves jeering and howling when two romans are fighting much like the romans did in the arena showing how the slaves and romans are not really that different. It's not beaten into you. There are no flashbacks showing the roman fighting. Then a man noticing the similarities and all. Plus, there was Crassus who was very complex, smart and an antagonist who respects Spartacus.

I agree the show is hammy and there is a LOT of cheese but it suits the material. And there is no "filler" episode. Something or the other is happening in every episode.

I never truly felt interested in those two protagonists. They are supposed to be a view of Rome through the commoner but they never looked realistic enough to be considered roman commoner with a lot of non-cultural things going on.

Even despite this, I am usually pretty cool about let the historical details go but the show had nothing for it if it wasn't a ''historical'' show.

Not that the historical chaacters are well depicted but you can project a lot on them from what you know. Except for MT Cicero who was depicted as a complete douche and coward with moderate talking skills, as was Caesar in the cold stone face genre.

And Roman theatre without masks. Ugh. Completely ****ed up cursus honorum and whatnot :yk

Re: Game of Thrones

Rome was an amazing show. Pity they pulled it before season 3. Which was supposed to be amazing as it would have involved the coming of the Messiah.

You expected an exact depiction. Imo it would have been boring, they manipulated history and characters to spice up the plot. But it went well, I was hooked to the storyline. Octavian was a stone cold character.

And I also loved that scene where Marc Antony arrives in Egypt and meets Cleopatra.

But if it was not an exact depiction, what is really the point? Would you have still appreciated it if Caesar was named Virgilius and lived in 750 and it had the same storyline?
If yes, then fair enough.

You can't really expect an exact depiction of events 2000 years ago. I've never seen a show that's an exact depiction of any historical event to be honest.

Another fantastic episode. Some great scenes with tywin/lady olenna and varys/littlefinger.

And of course
Ramsey
torturing Theon. Ouch.

I've avoided using any name for him atm since it hasn't been revealed on the show.

His first name is just a minor spoiler and the clues for his allegiance are all there.

Yes, I saw it after posting the video. But I don't think the name Ramsay has ever been mentionned so people still don't know who he is, except that he is not a Karstark or an Umber. Doesn't leave much behind, tbh.

Ser Piggy trying to show off in front of wildling lady lol. ''More wood means more fire.'' :yk

The guy that plays him was cast for ramsay

Lord Varys is an absolutely awesome character. He is my favourite character of GoT. He is "bad" but he is not flagrantly cruel like Littlefinger (so far). I liked it when his expression changed to horror when Littlefinger was telling about Ros with casual disinterest. Shows there is a degree of good in him.

BTW, here is Lord Varys owning hotshot lawyers in present day USA.

So an end to Jamie Lannister's sufferings finally. Kingslayer going home.

What an awesome show!! Please guys, no spoilers, will remove all the fun :( Even a hint is heartbreaking :))

poor dove, the imp hit the jackpot. if only we got to see the scene with his "other" girl in the room :)))

Its best not to spoil it for those who havn't read the books. Too late now anyway.

But Ramsay is just his name. It's as if I said that the guy who saved Tyrion is Bronn, nobody knows who he is.

His full name has been mentioned which is a spoiler of sorts. As i said best to avoid it but it doesn't really matter now.

another great episode. and soooo romantic :(

jamie's a hero <3 and his sis is going to be UPSET! :afridi

Jaime........ kiya bat hai. And Jon Snow is horrible character all round. And no Stannis in this episode :(

Everybody says J then A I M and EEEEE!

Curious: Need to find out why this Puppy's milk has been refereed as anesthetic or antiseptics?

Danny looked so beautiful in that episode. Her skin looked bit burned due to sun though! May be it's just a make-up.

Re: Game of Thrones

Another let down of an episode. That's two in a row now.

Two great episodes in my eyes. They have so many plot lines to set up sometimes it feels there is not much progress but it will all pay off soon.

Was Boring and predictable. Theon got another body part defiled, tell me something new.

I found Joffrey and The Greatest Grandfather scene pretty intense! Loved the way he step up the stairs to show Joffrey's place! Joffrey's sphincters squeezed there a little.

Was Boring and predictable. Theon got another body part defiled, tell me something new.

It serves two parts- one progressing Theon to where he will be (now he is no longer eligible to inherit the iron islands) and for providing character insight into the other bloke.

In the books, that particular character had already being built up as the most horrible person in the series by the end of book 2. He was terrifying.
Yet he didn't appear in the second season of the TV show.

They're trying to build him up as well so when he becomes a major player in later seasons, he won't look like a completely random addition.

They are building up for the weddings, last 2-3 episodes are gonna be epic. T***n *********'s regards are coming. :moyo

Also, seems like ******* will march north next season then. Can't wait for that.

To the guys saying boring episode, this is what GOT is. GRR Martin, builds it up and up and up and then BOOM! ACTION! out of no where. Happened first season, happened second season, will happen third season. Every episode cant be action packed, (well actually it had some action if you know what i mean ) :moyo
