Hahah agreed major. Zim and associates stressing me out. Difficult to pick the others without knowing where these guys will slot in.

Don't think associates would be that much of a problem. I have done a good homework on them

But Zimbabwe barely has 2-3 players who could make into a greatest odi eleven.

Lool need a bit of luck in the later rounds in terms of order of picks. If im one of the last to pick i may have to settle for the likes of alok kapali, mark vermulan and asghar stanikzai in my all time odi xi

[MENTION=132270]SL_Fan[/MENTION] beware, you may end up compromising your batting if draft order doesn't suit you in later rounds.

[MENTION=132270]SL_Fan[/MENTION] has plenty of fire power in the bowling department but no batting. He had a good chance to get his hands on a good batsman as well as a fiery pace bowler. Missed out.
 
I think k uptil now sl fan has the best pace bowling attack. Bond is a very good pick.

Angelo Mathews pick was also a great one. All-rounders are must in odi

Thank you guys.. there are still few players I'm eyeing.. pretty sure i will have most well balanced team if I get lucky with the draft order..

Frustrating hold ups are like checking pakpassion when its been raining at a test match and your checking if the players are back out yet 🙈
 
That is the million dollar question.

How about future rounds are completed at a certain time agreed on by all the "franchise owners" .. in other words we all come online at a fixed time and the draft round is completed within 30mins

That would be very difficult. I have uni, other people will have work and then differnet time zones. Future has a few hours I think so once that is done, we move onto the next person/
 
btw, question for everyone, should i change the time limit from 24 hours per pick to 12? i wasnt expecting most of you to be so quick

na, its all right, everyone lives in different time zones. This was expected.

Even 24 hours are quite less as someone could get busy all of a sudden.

Because once you post your pick, that is your go over and done with and the time for the next pick starts. If we go down this route, then we'd end up with posters seeing that the next pick has not been taken and changing their minds. It gets messy and detracts from the pick of the next person.

This is why there are trades, you get 2.
 
A bit harsh. Maybe a one off pardon and a clear message to all to be sure prior to making their selection.
 
Yeah, I think you should be allowed to change your pick before the next person picks.

I thought Dilshan was taken so I didn't chose him until I realized he was still available.
 
well if Dilshan doesnt get picked by the end of the round, you can have that pick

this is the world of drafts, its a tough one young man

Was thinking about Bevan this round but after he went Hussey seemed like the way to go. But Starc was jumping up and down yelling pick me pick me how could I say no to the big fella eh :))

Hard not to agree with any of that chief. Mathews is a great pick surely. A quality bat, decent part-timer, a solid finisher and one heck of a captain. And I’m not saying all that just because I picked him either :ashwin

So here it goes.
You already have the greatest new ball bowler. With Crowe at #3 or #4. You need an Opener.

If you can imagine a more impact player than Shewag, Jayasuriya, Sayeed Anwar, Srikkanth, Guptil - and a legend; it is Haydous. Matty Hayden would not only put fear in opponent bowlers heart, he would tear apart any confidence opponent Captain has to contain him. He cannot be stopped nor denied. With 10 ODI centuries and God knows how many World Cups.... he is an enforcer.

Second Aussie choice is David Warner. 13 centuries and counting. The name should be enough. If any one wants to argue with you on this pick just tell them SR. If they still want to argue, ask them, Would you like to have AB Dev type player to open for your team?

Choose any of them and you will not regret any.

SLan Pick: You need a captain or a VC. Not very many captains can match wits the Ranatunga. WC champion as well. Winners have that extra will to put you on the top at crucial times. 13/14 centuries. In modern times = 20+.
or
Lasith Malinga. I don't think I need to introduce him to the world. Toe crushing yorkers is just a similar replacement with the other half of the Ws with two new balls. Brtter SR than Vaas. Obviously faster.

Maxwell is the only other player I would consider because he can bowl few overs for you.

I have given you the tools to succeed. P.S. Warner and Malinga. New generation will garner you more votes at the end.

Attapattu would have been a better choice in Test cricket ; 5 double tons I think.

i dont mind that. Its an opener, the runs could be made up for later stage.

I would had taken him over dilshan, jayawardene and even angelo mathews
