Superheroes have been in the news for quite some time now thanks to countless movies being churned out of hollywood in past few years.
Historically both Marvel and DC have given us some legendary Superheroes (and heroines) via comic books and it's really really hard to pick just one out of them.
I would personally go with The Flash .
He might not be your archetypal superhero but is the one I always look forward to reading about.The greatest speedster of all time , this guy is so likable that its not surprising he's one of the most popular DC icons ever.
Honorable mentions - Batman
PS: No anime or Manga crap here that means Goku out.

I used like Cyclops too . For some reason always found blasting objects with laser beam coming out of your eyes kinda cool as a child.
Plus the guy was always shown so calm and dependable unlike certain Canadian with daddy issues.

From X-Men as a child I liked cyclops too but when I grew up and watched the movies I like wolverine character more especially how hugh jackman portrayed it..

Fact is in the source material, he is the baddest of the bad. A boyscout but he can go toe to toe with the best of them. And a prolific leader. Plus he somehow manages to land the hottest chicks around.
