Miller just inflicted a heart-break on Chennai. What an innings and what great batting by Rashid Khan as well towards the end! The season seems done and over for Chennai from here....

Can someone please tell me who that annoying as hell commentator was commentating towards the end there? The one with the South Indian accent.

David Miller and Rashid Khan have kept the Gujarat Titans (GT) in their chase of 170 against the Chennai Super Kings in Match 29 of IPL 2022 at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

Despite losing five wickets, Miller and Rashid have been able to held their grounds and gave also managed to hit boundaries at regular intervals. For GT, Maheesh Theekshana has taken two wickets while Dwayne Bravo, Mukesh Choudhary and Ravindra Jadeja have also picked up a wicket each.

Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad dazzled with a 48-ball 73, and Ambati Rayudu slammed a quickfire 46 as CSK posted a total of 169 for five. After CSK lost two early wickets, Gaikwad and Rayudu added 92 runs for the third wicket before Ravindra Jadeja and Shivam Dube played cameos of 22 and 19, respectively.

For GT, Alzzari Joseph has taken two wickets while Mohammed Shami and Yash Dayal have also picked a wicket each. Earlier, GT won the toss and elected to bowl. At the toss, GT stand-in skipper Rashid Khan confirmed that regular captain will miss the game due to an injury. Rashid also confirmed that Alzarri Joseph and Wriddhiman Saha make their debuts for the team.

GT are top of the table with four wins from five, and thrashed Rajasthan Royals in the previous match. CSK, on the other hand, sit nine in the points table, having registered their first win in the last game against RCB.

Hardik Pandya has led his team from the front, contributing in both departments. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja is yet to find his feet since taking over the captaincy baton from MS Dhoni.

An overseas player in the Delhi Capitals team has tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total number of positive cases in the franchise to three, sources in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) told NDTV. The sources confirmed that physio Patrick Farhart and the team masseur had tested positive last week, while the player's test results returned positive earlier today. The entire Delhi Capitals contingent is awaiting its RT-PCR test results currently.

The latest developments have forced the franchise to delay its travel to Pune for its next IPLmatch against Punjab Kings on Wednesday. It is understood that an Australian all-rounder showed some symptoms and a Rapid Antigen Test was performed which came positive. "DC were supposed to travel to Pune today but the entire squad members have been told to retire to their respective rooms and as per protocol RT PCR is being done to ascertain whether there is an outbreak in the camp or it is an isolated case like Patrick Farhart," a BCCI source told PTI on Monday.

It is understood another member of the support staff has also shown symptoms but RT-PCR results are awaited.

"All teams are staying at Conrad Hotel in Pune where BCCI has created a bio-bubble. They were supposed to travel but now it has been delayed. Obviously all those whose results would be negative would carry on with onward journey tomorrow," the source said.

The development comes after team physio Farhart tested positive last week. "We were supposed to leave today but have been told to stay in room until further notice," said a team source.

With COVID cases rising outside the IPL bio-bubble, the virus threat inside the protected environment has also increased.

Last season, the tournament had to be suspended midway due to the second wave before it could be completed in the UAE in September-October.

Due to this circus IPL we are deprived of international cricket.
This is so frustrating.
IPL should be only one month long.
Most pointless tournament all these franchise tournaments are pointless.

Rajasthan Royals

1 Jos Buttler, 2 Devdutt Padikkal, 3 Sanju Samson (capt. & wk), 4 Karun Nair, 5 Shimron Hetmyer, 6 Riyan Parag, 7 R Ashwin, 8 Trent Boult, 9 Prasidh Krishna, 10 Yuzvendra Chahal, 11 Obed McCoy.

When on form, there is no cleaner striker of a cricket ball than Jos Buttler.

Amazing hitting.

KKR team should have been

Narine
Tomar
Venky
Shreyas
Sam Billings
Nitesh
Russell
Cummins
Anukul Roy
Umesh
Varun

The pitch is very good for batting , but the problem is even though KKR has batting depth , they are in very poor form , playing reckless cricket instead of positive cricket

What are the chances of breaking the below IPL records:

Most centuries in single season (4 Centuries - Virat)
Highest runs scored in single season (973 Runs - Virat)

OUT

Rana gone , poor thinking , already had 13 runs from the over , there was no requirement for playing big shot.
