Gun attack on Latif Khosa's residence injures his driver

A gun attack took place at the residence of former Punjab governor Latif Khosa in Lahore late Thursday night, the senior politician confirmed.

According to Khosa, his driver had been injured in the attack by unidentified gunmen, who fled the scene. The prominent jurist himself remained safe in the attack.

“I was listening to a client’s case at home. My driver came in and said he had been shot,” Khosa said, sharing details about the incident.

The veteran Pakistan People's Party (PPP) politician said he saw holes in the house door when he stepped outside to check. “Kalashnikov was used to fire at my house. Such tactics won’t work. We stand with the chief justice.”

Owais Shafiq, a superintendent of police, reached the ex-governor's residence following the incident while an investigation into the attack began.

According to the police, gunmen launched seven fires at Khosa’s home. The bullets, one of which injured the driver, hit the car piercing through the residence’s door, the police added.

The police is using closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the attackers.

Meanwhile, the police recovered four bullet shells outside Khosa’s residence and found two bullet marks on the main gate. No trace of the suspects has been found through the CCTV installed outside the house.

“A case will be registered on the request of Sardar Latif Khosa,” the police said.

Senior politician Aitzaz Ahsan has condemned the attack on Khosa’s residence. “Firing at Latif Khosa's house is the act of Gullu Butts,” he alleged.

They have succeeded. Just imagine if these guys were anti West? You would hour long programmes and Congress and Parliaments would be passing legislation and sanctions on a daily basis and human rights would have been highlighted everywhere. But as the West has fully backed the coup, barely a peep from govts, apparently these abuses are an internal matter.

No doubt they are but the mafia and the deep state are exposed forever, to everyone women, man and child. No doubt we have been set back and maybe we will never comeback, maybe it will take decades or its the jolt that was needed for deep renewal. All options are possibilities, it would be fascinating to see how this goes but unfortunately it's a not a movie and the lives of 250mn are at stake.

At this point in time, it looks impossible to look past the corrupt mafia but history shows that countries evolve and develop. We just don't know when or if the likes of Billo, Maryam,, Bajwa and Munir will become history. Haqqani has told the Generals that only Billo is acceptable to the Americans, but Billo has less support than a 4th division football team. The pretense of LGBT person having the backing of the Generals and feudals won't last long. The Generals can't hold his hand forever and then what? Back to the Nooras, who cant even win in Punjab anymore. Then what? The irony is that IK was in trouble and had they left alone, he may have won but would have been in an even weaker position. Bajwa will be cursed by PKs for centuries
