what would you suggest?? apart from beef which is not available here.any supplement shall I take??
No, you only start taking supplements when you have an idea of what you're doing. You're not at that stage right now. I feel like bashing my head against the wall whenever I see newbies wasting away their money on supplements.
Right now just get try to get more calories in however you can; eggs, rice, chicken, fish, milk... even beans will do.
High carbs in your diet pasta rice potato but don't sit on your backside otherwise you will just gain it on your stomach work out while eating high carbs.

I don't work out and no other physical exercise either. should I start working out?
Yes, start lifting but you'll need to have a proper diet in order to make progress.
Very angry today. Have been working out for 4 weeks now, feeling stronger than I've ever felt, doing a PPL program with constant progression on the big 5 lifts every week since I started end of June, but squats are such a ***** to perfect form wise.
Watched a ton of videos, practiced in front of a mirror, didn't ego lift, asked others to watch form and then 2 days ago on a mere warm up of 80 lbs I think I hyperextended my spine at the bottom because there's some annoying pain even today in my lower back and I can somewhat feel it in my legs too.
I hope it's okay by tomorrow, am tired of starting and stopping my weightlifting journey time and again.
I hate squats, there's so many moving parts that you have to watch out for else you end up injured ):<

Has anyone here tried intermittent fasting? what's the results like after 3-4 months? how much did you exercise?
I'm trying to shed about 15 lbs, but I don't really want to go into weight lifting.
You can lose 15 lbs in 2-3 weeks if you go hard at it.
You ball?I want to lose weight but am not too keen on calisthenics or weight lifting.
I like running, basketball, and boxing.
Can doing cardio and enforcing a strict fruits/veggies diet help reduce weight effectively?
Anyone who has, can they tell the overall differences they found mentally and or emotionally?
It's not possible to lose that much in that amount of time unless you basically end up starving yourself.

True, I'm getting that from this guy on youtube that claimed he losed that much in 2 weeks once he was on adderall and forgot to eat.
You ball?
Yes. You'll lose weight as long as you're burning more calories than you're consuming throughout the day. That's the simple answer but you really have to be enjoying the foods that you're eating because a restriction based diet will NEVER work. You'll go back to your old ways as soon as you're done "dieting."
I have a lot more self-confidence now, the feeling of accomplishment is there, people don't talk crap to my face, you feel more energized throughout the day and obviously, I love spending lots of time in front of the mirror. Call me a narcissist if you want, I don't mind.![]()
If you work hard, you should enjoy the fruits of your labor.
Thanks on the info. I hate veggies but I can dig it on fruits so I’ll be alright until I get that steak and brown rice craving.
True, but it's equally important to remain humble at the same time also. I still cringe thinking about the time when I used to walk around in a tank top/small t-shirt.9 out of 10 girls don't care about how much you can lift, it's all anecdotal.
Layups are underrated. If you can't shoot then they become even more important. Look at LeBron, he's not a great shooter but still gets a lot of points on layups. I would stay away from the post if you're an average height. It's only efficient if you're tall.Used to play a lot in middle school.
Never could shoot the ball too well so I was the guy in the post catching rebounds and playing defense despite having average height.
Getting back into it now and hope to develop another shot cause all I’ve got now is the Skyhook.
Nah, I don’t mind the elbows in the post.Layups are underrated. If you can't shoot then they become even more important. Heels down, chest up, knees out, hips back.
Do you follow these four steps?
I just want to have Flex Lewis's forearms, is that too much to be asking for?
Yea I'm athletic so I prefer driving and doing acrobatic layups. That's how I score most.Nah, I don’t mind the elbows in the post.
Layups are criminally underused nowadays as the three-pointer has become the IT thing.
Just like driving to the lane and doing a funky layup was IT during D-Rose’s heyday.

Is there some stuff you do specifically for forearms or just composite ones ?
Why do all the people get shocked when I tell them I'm only in the gym for vanity? Why else would I spend 15 hours a week in the gym?
Strength is obviously an important element also, but that too falls under vanity since I'll rarely need to lift anything above 300 lbs in my day to day life.
Maybe it's a culture thing. Down here nobody's ashamed in admitting that they're only in the gym to look good.
Nah, it's just the bloody normies who feast on burgers every single day. They'll call you "obsessed" because they lack the discipline and dedication to move up themselves. If you have a single bicep vein, you're on "juice."
Or when ur at a family gathering and they force you to eat like three rotis. And if you don't eat that much then apparently ur weak and have the portion sizes of a bird.

Depends on your metabolism.
For me if I eat one full plate of desi food then my stomach will feel super bloated.
It all comes down to genetics![]()
Well my cousins will eat like 3 plates of biryani and they have the same genes.![]()
For me if I eat one full plate of desi food then my stomach will feel super bloated.
How are you gonna bulk up then? I can eat 5,000 calories in a day easily but I don't enjoy doing so.
What's a healthy way of gwttibg >4000 calories. Is it possible on a desi diet?
It's possible but you have to know what you're exactly doing and you've to be knowledgeable about nutrition. You've to avoid things like oil etc. Cholesterol is the biggest problem when you're looking at Desi foods.
The healthy way of getting 4000 calories in involves going HEAVY on carbs. You will NEVER get that many calories in if you're trying to "avoid" carbs.
So far I'm eating a lot of carbs and avoiding excessively oily food however I've heard "carbs are bad" and lately the trend is people avoiding carbs altogether (?!).
That is if people are trying to lose body fat. Protein only helps you with muscle recovery, you still need carbs in order to gain size.

I usually get lower and stick my butt out more on deadlifts. Also helps prevents back injury.
Think I would've knocked this guy's teeth out if he came up to me when I was deadlifting. Jerk.
What a clown.
Stopping him is already dumb and then doing it the way he did is seriously stupid. Could've snapped the kid's back in one second.
What is the backstory to this? I don't even lift and i could tell that he could seriously injure the kid for life the way he kicked the bar down. Hasn't this guy (who looks like a trainer) have ever heard of gym safety? This is technically an assault

My biggest man-crush right now.![]()
Honestly this doesn't look that great
Leaner looks better and plenty have achieved that and a lot of muscle to go with that.
Guys like these tire out fairly quickly too when their cardio is challenged
Also.... Looks like they are compensating for something else lol
Fair enough. Yeah, he doesn't have a maintainable physique but he can last a lifetime if he's smart about it like Schwarzenegger. He is not an overly big guy anyways but his bicep insertions are the worst in the whole industry but he was born that way. You cannot defy genetics.
I hate guys like Ronnie Coleman and Phil Heath.![]()

Why does the treadmill max out at 12 mph? I want to see my max speed. It's probably around 14 for 10 seconds I'm guessing.
What do you guys use to shed the fat while keeping protein up to maintain muscle
