So let's see both the teams, here's something I wrote:
Hampshire:
Hampshire have been really impressive in this tournament, winning almost all of their matches, and have looked a very strong contender to win the tournament. Hants were looking really good in the tournament, winning and keeping a positive attitude in all their matches, with the likes of Afridi, Briggs, Mc Kenzie and Imran Tahir it was their spin option that won them majority of the matches they have won so far. Hants last game was against Durham, with a noisy crowd all supporting Hants, Hants won the toss and chose to bat first. However, Hants didn't start well, as Afridi was run out the second ball of the innings without facing a ball, with some brilliant piece of fielding from Borthwick. Next to go was Vince. At 26/2 in 4 overs, Hants were really struggling and Durham started to get even better, and soon Hampshire were 103/4 in 14 overs and were hoping to get to 150. Then Mc Kenzie played an awesome knock, scoring 56 off 40 balls, and in the end Hampshire got to 154, and Durham needed 155 to win. But the spin cordon took the lead and Durham were struggling at 75/6 in 13 overs. Well things just got worse for Durham, at 95/8, Afridi finished up the tail with 2 wickets and Durham couldn't even get to 100, they were 99 all out, and Hampshire completed a convincing victory. Well thats all from Hampshire!
Somerset:
Somerset have been average in this tournament and have fought very hard to get this far, into the semi finals. Now in Somerset's last game, which was against Nottinghamshire, Notts won the toss and chose to bat first. Now Notts were in complete control of the game, at 135/4, when Samit Patel left, Somerset had a chance to restrict Notts less than 150, but a late counter attack and a brilliant innings form Alex Hales, who scored 78, took Notts to 169, which was a really competitive score. Somerset started badly, losing Trescothick for 3 in the 3rd over. Then Trego and Kieswetter built after their early loss, but then Trego had to go for 22, and Somerset were 59/2. Then Hildreth and Kieswetter were the next to go, and Notts were fighting well, At this stage, Somerset were 106/4 in 15 overs. But then, you must have heard of the name, the West Indian all rounder, Kieron Pollard walked in and blasted an amazing 47 off 25 balls with support from Jos Buttler, who scored 34 off 14 balls, and Somerset pulled off an amazing victory, winning by 6 wickets in the end. Good luck Somerset!
