Handover the captaincy to Salman Butt after the WT20 2016

This doesn't make any sense. Butt was in contention for the WC but according to some sources Afridi rejected him. It means he is in the radar of the selectors, so suggesting for his captaincy makes sense as he can be selected in the team after the WC unlike Faisal who is not even in the radar of the selectors.

If that doesnt make sense then how does making butt the captain again after what happened during his last stint make any sense?

I think Salman Butt should take over from Afridi in T20Is after the WC. His previous captaincy stint was incomplete, and where he did show some glimpses of a thinking man who understood the game well.

I know he hasn't played any domestic T20 games, but still he clicked in the List A games, and his T20 record is decent, also he has many shots in his book as he is not a one sided hack, so he will click.

As far as the ODIs are concerned, if Azhar's failures continue as a captain then Butt should take over from him as well.

In Tests, post Misbah, he should be the automatic choice.

He can play for at least next 5 years, which will cover the upcoming two World Cups.


P.S: Moral brigade should stay away as he has been punished already.

Yes would field better than Azhar & Shehzad and would Bat with 40 plus Ave & SR of 80 plus.


Attrocious Captaincy has brightened his comeback chances.

Imad's poor fitness and inconsistent batting performances mean He won't be given captaincy. Rightly So.

Umar Amin is well spoken, intelligent and quite fit lately but too too soft character to be handed over captaincy.

Hafeez might get dropped as he is 37, not as good bowler as he was before ban and plays at Poor SR.


Malik might decline Captaincy offer again.

Salman Butt did not have cricketing abilities like Imran but He was well spoken, intelligent, shrewd, tactical genious. He made a terrible call for few thousand pounds at his peak cricketing years. He was improving as a batsman too and would have been still playing averaging 47 in Test Cricket Yes UAE man and 45 with 80-83 SR in Odi Cricket thanks to UAE. But corruption destroyed him when he had his peak years infront of him.


PCB invested in him for 12 years atleast when he made that horrible choice. Still if Sarfraz doesn't improve as Captain, Sethi doesn't become Pcb head, Inzamam stays at CS, Malik declines captaincy offer than Salman Butt will be back as Opener and Pakistan Captain. (All If's should work) Salman did Spot fixing but remember in Past there were 4 Match fixers who Captained Pakistan. 2 of them did Spot fixing at ICL aswell. So Salman is a lesser Sinner/Criminal.


Let me dissapoint you all with one last thing. 32 years old Salman Butt, Shoaib Malik (35), Amad Butt (22) & Kamran Ghulam (21) are the fittest Cricketers in Pakistan. Yeah 32 years old Salman Butt.
