Today being Friendship Day, I wanted to take a moment to set aside the usual fiery debates we’ve all grown used to on this forum.
Over the years, I’ve had my fair share of passionate arguments here especially with some of our Pakistani brothers. We’ve clashed over cricket, political views, historical interpretations, and more. But if I’m being honest, I’ve also come to realize something important through all this, that most of us here are more alike than we care to admit.
We all share a deep love for cricket. We all follow politics with intensity. We all care deeply about our respective countries. And most importantly, we all keep coming back to this same forum day after day, year after year to talk, debate, argue, and sometimes even laugh together. That tells me that there’s already a bond here even if it often hides beneath nationalistic pride or forum banter. I believe more people on the forum should acknowledge this aspect.
So on this Friendship Day, I genuinely wish peace, understanding, and camaraderie to all regardless of which side of the border you’re from.
Here’s to more discussions, more cricket, more fierce religious and geopolitical debates but hopefully with mutual respect and peace in the mix.
Happy Friendship Day
