Sadly enough, this PSL did not promote any wicket keeper yet again. It was the same names fighting for mediocrity

However, Haris did show some improvement in his batting by getting 30s in games. Guy was lost in the head in the past when he was making statements and was on high on the basis of early recognition. But now he has started to show some maturity.

He is still not the best though, as his failiure to bat after the powerplays and his wicket throwing habit is still there, but below him there is no one else.

Yes, Usman Khan scored runs, but we know he will fail in international as he always looks under pressure and a walking wicket when bought into the national team.

Has Haris improved? Or should the management wait anther year on him to bring him back?

M Haris should never have been dropped.

That last match where Babar scored a century, it was only Haris who actually played a proper T20 innings and scored at over 200 strike rate.

Yes Babar got to a century but consumed so many balls it ended up a 170 something strike rate against third class bowlers on a belter of a pitch.

If he did this in a proper international tournament, I bet you the opposition would have easily chased the total given he batted so many balls yet couldn’t strike at over 200 SR.

Sometimes drop can be a good wake up call for a player. Harris wicket keeping got sloppy in international. He should be recalled and given a second chance though.

38 ball 50 by Babar as opener

Pakistan should simply use Farhan as a keeper in T20Is. There is no reason we need glovework like Rizwan's for T20s and frankly as keepers as a batsmen are well below par for T20 standards.

Haven't watched much PSL this year apart from an innings highlight from a youngster here and there but no matter what Haris and UK are doing in the PSL or domestic level, they will 100% fail at international level. The bowling/fielding level is crap with no definite plan. International teams have worked out their weaknesses in their rather long-ish Pak stints and will expose them for the ****** they are once/if they get back into the national setup. Not that the rest of the team is anything to write home about so they would fit right into the mediocrity.

He got humbled really good by Babar. He has probably realized that running his mouth won’t change the fact that Babar is several leagues above him.

If he is prepared to work hard and keep his mouth quiet he still has time on his side to have a white ball career for Pakistan.

Actually there is. I think it was Haris who ended up missing a runout chance or a stumping in some match. Cant recall if it was asia cup.

To be fair, to beat India, you need to have a good fielding side that can get throws on the wicket as those are the only chances you can get against a side like theirs.

Its a double edge sword. You need a batter that can hit and a keeper that can actually keep wickets.

I agree with you that at international level both really suck.

But pakistan does need a keeper that can also bat. Rizwan is not willing to move dowm to no.6 or 7 because he cant score runs at top order in t20. No other keeper is rising.

Usman has got enough chances, might aswell give Haris a call back.

Apart from that, there is Azam Khan who is not fit to play sports and gets scared by pace bowling

He did fine in this PSL. Anyways the thread is on M Haris, let's not derail this thread.
Its a discussion on a keeper, and azam can be bought to discussion. But he is not fit and he has his issues with pace bowling.

Issue with Azam is that he doesnt keep wickets because he is a good keeper, he keeps just to hide away in the field and not be forced to run too much.

Haris himself is not that great, but is the only one of the few options.

No he is absolutely very much a hack, not a very good keeper either. Hes been royally exposed the last year at international level and mind you we have had a few of these passengers who look amazing at the moment in the PSL. Only two who have remained true to their trash is Haris Rauf, Salman Agha, Mohammad Nawaz and Saim Ayub

His attitude problem wad there since day 1. I said it he has attitude issues when he scored a 50 and pulled out some strip of cloth from his trousers to make some statement. But everyone defended him because we get too excited on those one off performances.

Anyways this season he finally played quietly hasnt given out any statement.

He is a decent prospect if he can learn how to save his wicket and get his head straight.

Few months back he was trying to copy Abhishek and was getting out on first ball in domestic cricket.

His biggest enemy is his mind, which can stop him fro reaching his potential.

The keeper spot is there for him to grab as there is literally no one competing for it

Harris does well on flat and bouncy wickets . Another problem is he is an opener . Pakistan already have 3-5 options as openers . At the moment Pakistan needs a middle order WK batsman . But considering your next T20 WC is in 🇦🇺 there is a chance Pakistan will need to look into him . Usman Khan , Azam khan have no experience in those conditions and likely will fail there.

Haris does not want to improve... Simple

Since day 1, he has been the same... Even Azam Khan has better performance than him and people here keep talking about his fitness... Haris needs belt tratment?

So good to finally see you back on Pakpassion. Hope everything is well brother.

At the moment, Usman Khan is probably the best option who has performed well in the ongoing PSL as well. I don't think Haris has performed at that level which makes him replace Usman in the national T20I side.
