Team India has been on a winning spree in the ongoing World Cup. They have defeated South Africa, Australia and Pakistan so far while their game against New Zealand was washed out. India is one of the only two unbeaten teams in the tournament so far and the team is looking good to continue in the same vein. Their win over the arch-rivals Pakistan was top-class and didn’t even give an inch to the opposition to make a comeback at any stage.

No wonder the fans were thrilled after the victory and the social media was flooded with congratulatory messages for the Men in Blue. In one such message, one of the reporters also took to Twitter to congratulate Virat Kohli and Co and also went on to write she is proud to be an Indian. She also hoped for the team to bring the cup home and make the country even more proud.

“Congratulations #TeamIndia for the splendid win and giving us a moment to celebrate and to feel proud to be an Indian. #IndianCricketTeam let’s capture the world cup now #CWC19,” the tweet read.

Interestingly, the Pakistan cricketer Hasan Ali responded to the tweet congratulating the reporter and also wrote that her wish for India to win the World Cup will also be fulfilled. “Hogi ap ki dua pori congratulation (Your wish will be fulfilled congratulations), Hasan’s tweet read. However, for some strange reasons, the pace bowler deleted the tweet even as the responses started to come in for him on it.

Hasan Ali was one of the poor performers in the game against India. He took the new ball when the conditions were assisting the swing bowling but failed to pitch it in the right areas to trouble the batsmen. The 24-year-old was the most expensive bowler on the day conceding 84 runs in his nine overs and picked the only wicket of the centurion Rohit Sharma.

However, the damage was done by then and India eventually posted a mammoth total of 336 runs in 50 overs to win the match by 89 runs.

? Thats so weird, my assumption is he meant to say”” hogayi aap ki dua poori” and Congratulations..

Yh think hes just congratulating them for the win rather than saying theyll win the world cup

Well I would guess it was sort of a kind gesture. Raina did the total opposite and sounded pretty bitter about it.

Exactly this. OP is creating all these threads 5 days after the match. It seems he was busy celebrating it for the last 5 days. :inti

Think his words are being misinterpreted due to writer's lack of knowledge of Urdu

Pakistani cricketers and social media........a continuous disaster.

Shouldn't have deleted it. Nothing wrong with saying what he did.

Not a perfect translation, but still a stupid thing to tweet after giving a match losing bowling performance.
