Hasan Ali injury update

Montego Bay, Jamaica - 17 April, 2017: Hasan Ali suffered a groin injury whilst fielding during the 1st innings of the 3 day practice match in Montego Bay. On clinical assessment there is strain to one of his adductor muscles. He will undergo progressive rehabilitation to regain strength in the groin. Currently we are confident that he will recover in time to be able to play in the Test series against West Indies. We will continue review his situation as he progresses through rehabilitation stages and give an update later when we are satisfied with his successful recovery or progress.

Good news for Rahat and Abbas...Bad news for Hasan ali.. If Rahat cant make it before the first test, then Abbas will play ahead of hasan ali..

That's what happens when you play a guy in every t20, every odi and a pointless warm up game. So stupid by Pakistan to play him and Amir when you have people like Abbas on the bench. These are exactly what the warm up games are for. I'm facepalming hard

If he was given a rest though, this wouldn't have happened , shouldn't be playing anyway

Amir also seems injured, so now he will play despite been injured(Misbah did that to him in Sydney test last year, he was clearly looking tired and carrying injury)...

:rahat working his magic.

Rahat on his arrival:

Not great, wish Hassan a speedy recovery; will be god awful if he does not make it in time for the champions trophy

Can't be having another left-arm bowler in Rahat, there's too many. Need to opt for another right-arm bowler in place of him.

I would play Hasan in T20Is and ODIs but I don't think he is physically ready for 5 day cricket yet.

If they play him in all 3 formats I think that will not do him or his fitness levels any good.

It is saying that he will be able to play in the Test series, so it looks like a minor injury.

Agreed.

It seems Amir is next on the list . . somethings wrong with his shoulder for sure!

All the posters assuming Rahat Ali will now play are wrong, as Inzi has rejected Mickey Arthur's request.

Here's hoping for a young replacement if they were to call up someone, but knowing Inzi we're probably going to see the likes of Imran Khan and Sohail Khan.

Hasan Ali has been recovering well and is on track with his recovery from his adductor muscle injury in the groin. He has been committed to his rehabilitation and we are happy with his progress to date. He will make a successful return to full training over the coming days, and regain appropriate match fitness to return to play.

Since he isn't in full training now, he won't play tomorrow's match?

So if we play 3 pacers now, Abbas will debut, otherwise Shadab will debut as Asghar had poor tour game.
