Yes, time to appreciate your county mates too.

We all saw how swing bowlers like Starc (who is a potential Odi ATG) struggled.

Credit where its due, he has outnumbered all fast bowlers and thats not just a one off. He is a bowler for all conditions and all stages of the match.

Once he has better support in batting, he will win many matches for Pak.

He might get hammered here and there but that wont change the fact that he is the leading odi bowler in world cricket now.

Gun team player!

He's bowled unbelievably well in this tournament. Very skillful and clever bowler. So great to watch. He's going to be among the top 5 in the ODI ranking soons

He has changed the complexion of our bowling attack.

These are flat pitches. Teams scoring 300+ for fun.
This isn't a flat pitch. Starc didn't have a strong tournament but it doesn't take away from the fact he was instrumental in Australia winning a WC on some of the deadest pitches on the planet. Hazlewood has also performed well, Rabada has been good for a while.

Thats true , but the flat pitches here are not the same as one in Aus or the flat pitches you find in SC . He may still do well elsewhere , but at this point I would say hes adapted to the English conditions better than any other bowlers .

For worlds best tag , we will have to wait and see .

That was 2 years ago. I am talking about now.

I really rate Starc highly. He is an ATG in the making.

Starc and hazelwood are better than him but he is still learning and showing an upward curve.

Ab kuch zyaada hogaya. Pakistan has the best bowling attack from Asia, quite easily and are probably top three in the world but no, Hasaan Ali has some ways to go before he can be the top bowler in the world.

I've heard Hasan Ali is one of the only bowlers in this tournament who is swinging the ball? Is this true? MASHALLAH

Not sure but he's getting very close.

Fantastic bowling but good bowling brain as well.

Best pacer from asia obviously.Babbar sher is here to hunt and rule.He is going to the best very soon.
#babbar sher

Definitely one of the best in the world, definite contender for emerging pllayer of the year... great day to witness this as a Pakistani, we should all be proud of him

Rabada is overrated in LOIs, he has a high economy and he doesn't always get that many wickets. Starc has been better but just going of this tournament, Hasan has been on another level.

Hes not even best in Asia.Bumrah is ahead, let alone Shami

Yes he has been so outstanding in this tournament that he is not even in the top 5 list of bowlers for the golden ball award

Yeah going by this tournament Tamim Iqbal is also the Best ODI batsman in world cricket today,AB the worst

Yes and going by bilateral head to head games Pakistan still owns India 72-51 in ODIs, so does that mean we are better than you?

Well he's been performing exceptionally good for last 3 matches So he is one of the contender for sure.

I remember Shikhar Dhawan was the next Adam Gilchrist and David Warner after being the top scorer of the last edition of the Champions Trophy..

Its sad to see Indians can't swallow a bitter pill when a Pakistani bowler takes the highest number of wickets, but they still have to gloat about their own because apparently in IPL he was invincible

He isn't even the best in indian cricket team. It's Bhuvneshwar

Note: We aren't discussing IPL performances here

Bhuvi has just come back in team based on IPL performances lol

Bumrah and Shami have been better recently in internationals than Bhuvi

Point me to such a thread

This guy has been the heart of Pakistan`s comeback in the tournament. What a bowler he has been throughout. I've had my eyes set on him since some months now, and it's great to see him kind of fulfill my expectations.

I know one isn't supposed to say this about an injury, but Wahab going out changed the whole look of this bowling line-up. Junaid has been a replacement most required by Pakistan.

more matches so more wickets

thats like saying jayasuriya is better ODI spinner than Warne

Junaid has played only 3... he didn't play the first one agains India, thats the games most teams get in the entire tournament

This comment explains why our players fail to improve...already the best bowler in the world so no need to improve. Fans need to break this mentality so that players continue to improve

Theres no thread but basically how overrated he became after a Player of the tournament berth to his name

well Dhawan was called a talent and so far in ODIs hes been okay :)

Hasan is a great talent too and I'd say best middle overs pacers going around. But surely long way to go before matching Hazelwood,Starc and Morkel

Might be the best in Asia right now. Fizz hasn't been able to return to his old self after his surgery and might never do so, so congrats to Hasan and Pakistan fans.

Lol, he's not even best in Asia. Bumrah, Shami, Bhuvi, Fizz all r easily better than him. Ott reaction from OP.

No one is saying he doenst need to improve. Rather we are appreciating him.

Why cant a Pakistani player be the no 1 in world?

Wickets always dont tell you the complete story. Hazlewood took 6 wickets in one match. Most of those wickets were tail enders. Opposition scored 291 in 45 overs.

Tell me 1 fast bowler who is even close to him in this tournament. And he has been good before this tournament too.

Lol at bumrah being better than Hasan.

Hasan isn't the best in the world, but he is slowly getting close and closer to the top LO bowlers.

Sample size is just one tournament but yes he has been the find of the tournament and the best bowler of the CT.. Should be a top contender for MOS..

Wait for a year or two and if he performs the way he does he will definitely be the best bowler..

I think Bumrah but I think Hassan Ali is a more complete bowler. Bumrah excels when the batsmen go after him. Shami is good but for whatever reason India don't like to pick him. If he played more consistently I think he would have established himself as the best ODI bowler in SC by now.

Shami is injured.Thats the only explanation.Even Umesh was picked ahead of him

Hasan seems great at middle overs while Bumrah nails yorker more than anyone currently exept Starc

"not a batsmen friendly pitch" - shoaib malik 14/6/17

It is a flat track. Pakistan just bowled very well.
Shoaib Malik just saying that as Pakistans batting struggles on any pitch so for them every pitch is not a batsmen friendly.

He is certainly the best bowler of the tournament so far so a case can be made that he is currently the best of the lot.

Of the top thread by OP here, lets not get carried away. Hasan is an excellent bowler and getting better each game but still has long way to go to be best in world, he can become a world class ODI bowler though in future.

It's early days for both Hasan and Bumrah; all judgements are provisional etc; but Hasan has been the more impactful bowler so far. 2 5fers already, and the best bowler by some distance in a big ICC tournament. Will almost certainly end up the highest wicket taker in the CT, with Junaid likely taking second place.

I agree that it is early days. I notice I made an error in my earlier post. What I meant to say was I like* Bumrah. I wasn't implying that Bumrah is the best ODI bowler.

As things stand, I think Hasan has more to his skill set while Bumrah is an excellent death over bowler. It also means, Hassan is better at picking up wickets.

In this tournament, Hasan is easily the most consistent bowler. He was excellent against India as well bar his last 4 overs, which went for 49 runs.

I don't mean to sound arrogant but every bowler or batsmen I've had a good feeling about has performed. Hasan, Fakhar, Shadab. Pakistan should use Asghar in Tests and Shadab in ODI/T20 from here on out.

Bookmark my post, Hasan Ali will be a megastar atleast in LOI cricket and a very good bowler in test cricket 5 years from now while bumrah will either fade away or be reduced to a bowler who bowls well at death and nothing else.

agree; he has not been tested in all other conditions yet; though for current english conditions he is the best
