Lol he is being played primarily for his lower order hitting and batting just like Fakhar Zaman has been given an extended run. Both these players haven't performed for a while. How long can Pakistan be carrying non performers?
Atleast Fakhar made a century agaisnt England.
Take the game today aside [horrible as his stats are] he's been atrocious for a long time anyway. When you're comfortable with your place in the side your self improvement stagnates or even lowers.
looks like azhar hasn't done anything to improve him. Instead hassan went down hill under him. Under muhammad akram at PSL, hassan actually improved.
I just don't understand why he's being persisted with. Hasnain should have been given a chance today it's not like he can do worse than Hasan.
We can learn about the understanding of selectors based on the fact that Hasan was automatic selection and Aamir was not also that Wahab got a chance at the very end.
not just the selectors, what about the bowling coach , head coach and kaptaan (shouting master)
Shouldn’t have been playing this game. We are already carrying enough passengers.
The Pakistan cricket team has copped a huge amount of criticism for being defeated by India in what was arguably the biggest fixture of the World Cup. The players looked listless and the chasm in quality between this India squad and this Pakistan squad was there for all to see.
Sarfaraz Ahmed, the Pakistan captain was singled out for the highest amount of trolling for his decisions, his fitness levels, the ‘yawn’, and of course, the loss. Now, it seems it is the turn of fast bowler Hasan Ali.
As Indian fans rejoiced the victory on social media, the Pakistani pacer ended up cheering for the Men in Blue.
A journalist had posted a tweet congratulating the Indian team and wishing for them to win the World Cup and make the nation proud. To the tweet, Ali replied, ‘Hogi ap ki dua pori congratulation’ (Translation: Your wish will be fulfilled congratulations).
However, he later deleted the tweet after receiving a lot of flak from fans, who had hoped Pakistan would be able to win the high-octane clash between the two teams.
Amid the mediocre display by the Pakistan cricketers, Hasan Ali’s forgettable performance had stood out in Manchester as he had conceded the highest amount of runs. The right-arm speedster had conceded 84 runs in just nine overs. He took only one wicket, but a very important one, that of Rohit Sharma.
Former pacer Shoaib Akhtar was particularly unforgiving on Hasan Ali in his analysis of the game. “Hasan Ali goes to Wagah Border and jumps around to show off his energy but why can he not display the same energy for Pakistan in the World Cup?” he had asked.
In the rain-hit game at Old Trafford, India scored a massive 336 against Pakistan.
India are one of the two unbeaten teams in the ongoing World Cup, the other being New Zealand. With 7 points, India ranks fourth on the points table and Pakistan is at the penultimate position with 3 points.

Thats because hasan is an old ball bowler! He is the main reason Pakistan been leaking alot of runs on the other end.
AMIR try to creat pressure and as soon as he comes all the presure is wasted.
We shouldv had Ruman raees or any other bowler in his place
Thats because hasan is an old ball bowler!
Haris rauf, shinwari, ruman raes or even M. abbas would have been better partners for amir. But the last 2 lack of pace would worry me!
My choice would have been haris rauf!
When Hassan Ali was on the top of his game, I kept repeating that his ways and skills will never make him a top bowler in the world . . . At best he will be a steady bowler . . aka a Liam Plunkett . . Hassan Ali in his prime was essentially a one trick pony . . Get the ball to tail in (reverse) in the middle overs and keep line and length consistent . .
The moment he stops tailing the ball in, he has to do something different to get wickets . . and his lines and lengths go off . . develops bad habits . .
Even if he isn't getting the ball to tail back in, the thing about Hassan during those days was that his line and length was impeccable so he game the captain a bit of control . . I haven't paid too much attention to whether something has gone wrong technically which is why he has become erratic . .
Regardless, if Hassan is to redeem himself, he needs to do 2 things:
1. Work on becoming a good new ball bowler . . He has no skills with the new ball currently
2. Get his lines and lengths back to where they were . .
The guy showed a lot of promise with almost all fans raving abotu the fact that we have found a fantastic bowler . . he maintained it for a good year and a half to 2 . . you don't just lose ability overnight . . he has it in him . . he needs to work harder and he needs a mentor who can work with him on the sidelines! Not Azhar Mahmood! . . Pakistan doesn't play much cricket after the world cup . . I sincerely hope that he puts in the work required and comes back a better bowler!
Why the hype? He is crap.
