Out of curiosity, Pakistanis never eats with hand?

@Major since you are a honest guy..can you answer this?

Yup we eat by hand, even rice. Not a Pakistani thing but a muslim thing. As Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to eat with his hand. So alot of people in Pakistan continue this practice and in Middle East aswell.

But i think what the poster was talking about wasnt about eating, but about cooking

@Rajdeep maybe you can explain why Inds dig into curry and rice with their hands? I can understand if they are eating bread or naan bread but curry and rice?

Muslims also do it in Pakistan. Infact, its considered a sunnah of the Prophet.

It is true that India has wildly different cuisine but Indians do love their spices and we have experiences their behavior in flights and cafeterias.

Pakistani people don't do this sort of thing in public, you don't see Pakistani people bringing Masala food to work or school

Ok maybe this post might rile people up a bit the wrong way, but as part of my job i visit a lot of properties, and invariably (80%+), south asian households in the uk, have a strong smell of masala, it varies from country to country of origin, but i rarely if ever have walked into a fresh smelling desi house. are you okay with ur house smelling of masala? i for one cant stand it, and methi in particular drives me nuts, have had a few arguments with my sister who is a serial offender when it comes to the house smelling of masalas.

I wont go into the rest of the patterns ive observed...

I think this is because of difference in culture, and this is actually a bad thing on our part.

Indians tend to pack full lunches in tiffin boxes for school and for work. Its part of their culture in India and they dont feel embarrassed about it. Its actually a good thing.

Even Americans and Canadians pack lunches aswell.

In Pakistan, students dont bring a lunch box after a certain age. They feel embarrassed and due to peer pressure dont bring a lunch box and prefer buying something cafeteria which is unhealthy, unhygienic and could be expensive.

This is not a good thing on our part.
