Have India "BOSSED" the New Zealand ODI series?

I made that post when it didn't look like India were gonna finish well. A 4-1 win is fantastic for India and a terrific achievement considering that neither England nor SA managed to achieve that. I don't think even Indian fans, including myself, expected this result. :)

Probably would have been 5-0 with a full strength team including Kohli and Bumrah.

Funny enough because this series will onle be remembered for that 4th ODI where India got so badly exposed they are haunted till world cup because every team now knows exactly how to beat them.

Umm well they did just that. BOSSED NZ, unlike Pakistan who got blanked in NZ and apparently "BOSSED" SA in SA by losing the series 3-2.

Pakistan didn't do any worse than England , NZ did in SA. They only did badly compared to the 5-1 thrashing handed out by India last year. Your team performed better than expected of them.

I see - guess it's gut feeling for you and 'moral victories' for others, perhaps I should be more accommodating of such thoughts in my definition of BOSSING?
I thought you quoted my post because of my notification triggered, I wasn't responding to your post to FL. I was talking about my pick of NZ over India in the GS and how it was more on my gut than anything else.

Have a quality left arm seamer who can bowl great spell of swing bowling at pace?

Probably. But after winning the series it was about giving other players chances etc. keeping CWC in mind.

Yep, but I think this series is a well and true BOSSING which is fantastic for India going into the WC, knowing they can beat good teams at full strength playing their B team.

You could say that but I think in terms of facing SA, this SA team was weaker and considered beatable. This Pakistani team lacks the killer instinct of India, they had SA down and out in the 2nd ODI but failed to kill the chase and let them romp home. India are leagues ahead as of now and possibly favourites even ahead of England for the WC.

Haha, I also got confused by the same notification trigger too. If NZ catch India on a day with movement in the air, they can definitely hurt them and possibly win but if the ball doesn't move, there's no chance of a Kiwi win IMO.

I am just sad that Gill didnt use two very good opportunities to show his class. Both times he got out due to his own shot selection rather than any magic delivery. He could have fought it out like Rayudu did...

Anyways he is still young, will get more chances, but India has too many batsmen fighting for middle order positions and getting such opportunities will be rare .. If someone else gets such a chance and clicks (like Rayudu did today), Gill might not make it back into the side.

Exactly.

Junaid-2013
Amir-2016
Curran - 2018
Boult-2019

Too many vulnerable right handers in that team.

I thought that rest of the world had already figured that out after Mohd Amir destroyed India with his prodigious swing in the CT final.

Yes. He missed these rare chances. Might regret later if another one from the U19 steps up.
