Hey guys, needed some recommendations for a holiday in France with kids!
We're planning to go to Disneyland Paris this summer with kids, I was wondering what else is there to do in Paris (and France) - what to see, where to eat (halal), where to stay!
Where are the most scenic places to go and see! We'll have our own vehicle!

Thanks

The most scenic places that I have visited in france are the Alps around Mont Blanc near the border with Switzerland & Italy. Closely followed by the Alsace area in North-eastern France. If you like the sea - the mediterranean coast is wonderful. Driving down the corniche near Nice is a fabulous experience.
Food & wine are the best I have tasted anywhere. You don't need fancy michelin-starred places. The "menu-du-jour" with house wine is very good in most country inns or city eateries. However - unlike you, my family & I have no food restrictions. You will certainly get halal in paris but should ask before you go in to the restaurant.
Sights in Paris - pretty obvious really. Just check what you wan't to see from any guidebook.
But don't miss a cruise on the Seine. Do it after dark so that you can see all the old buildings lit up with spotlights.
As for places to stay - depends on your budget.

Disneyland Paris was my first amusement park and space mountain was my first proper roller coaster. Think I was 6. Great memories

I went to DP at Christmas with the family, and there is no halal food on site. However, the resort did say that they could cater if told a week in advance so worth asking them.

There are a couple of halal burger joints a few miles away as there is a large Muslim population near the resort, but we found them by accident rather than on google. There are lots of halal food places near Gare du Nord.

Its definitely worth going up the Eiffel Tower, and also visiting the Louvre Museum (old and new), which houses the Mona Lisa. A Seine riverboat trip is also memorable. The Palace at Versailles is also worth the trek.

Apart from the obvious above, just walking through the streets of old Paris is wonderful. So much history and character.

Very expensive city though, and lots of dog poo so be careful where you walk!
