Pakistan Cup has not been taken into consideration while selecting squad for Champions Trophy. It makes sense coz the tournament is totally value less.
Following things must be ensured next season to make it effective, provided that Najam Sethi want Pak Cup to be effect by heart.
1. Two venues should be conduct the tournament. One match will be played in one venue while the second match must be hosted by a different venue. This will allow the groundsman to make better preparation over the first venue.
2. Schedule the tournament only when all Pakistan players are available. There shall be no Pak international series during the tournament. In fact there must be 10 day break before the tournament so that all players be at 100% fitness and focus on Pakistan Cup only.
3. Tournament shall be a two leg tournament meaning each team play with each other twice (in different venue of course).
4. Chief Selector and couch MUST be in stadium. Their presence will bring seriousness in the tournament. If not, sack them straight away.
5. And please, better quality pitch that give little more bounce and swing to the bowers.
