What's new

How did India lose the war of 1962 to China?

How is any of this related to my question ? What even is your point ? :))

That pathetic stunt is as close to invasion as India can get, from a realistic point of view.

They have almost a million military/paramilitary/spies etc. in Kashmiri invasion. Still can't control jack against rock throwing kids. In so many decades.

I'll leave to your desh bhagt imagination what a professional army like Pak would do to them if they decide to "invade" :))

I can only laugh at your desperation in calling that an invasion. I will leave it at that.

That's because they value the lives of those brainwashed rock throwing youth. The moment they stop doing that, well....... let's just say Imran khan will end up hurting his fingers typing all those tweets.

I mean how hard do you think it is to "control" those stone pelters when you're armed with an INSAS ak103 ?

I'll leave to your desh bhagt imagination what a professional army like Pak would do to them if they decide to "invade" :))

Yeah. There are enough examples in the past of your army's "professionalism". No need for my DeShBhAgT iMaGiNaTiON to step in. Talk about fake bravado. :)

We lost that war in 1962 because we didn't have Shri Narendra Modi Ji as our PM, Godi Media(Times Now, Republic, Zee News etc.) as our media and bhakhts who would have mob lynched each and every chinese soldier during that war. :inti

Actually Rob, I don't think that's the case. I have heard the Sukhoi MKI is not all that good as claimed. It is a Russian plane with Israeli Avionics, a Russian plane is not designed to run with Israeli tech. I found a great youtube video of this breakdown, I will post a link if I find it. Rafale now that is an all new different beast, when India inducts the squadron of 36 Rafales then PAF stands no chance, PAF planes become shooting ducks. However as of now, PAF I would even say IAF and PAF will be a close fight.

Interesting!

I know the Indian AF Sukhoi pilots said they kicked the RAF’s Typhoon butts in recent exercises so I read into it.

The Sukhoi is hypermaneuverable at low speed due to thrust vectoring. But the Typhoon has an extremely good sustained turn rate.

At BVR the Typhoon will beat the Sukhoi every time due to better radar, and better missiles especially when the Meteor replaces the AMRAAM.

The Typhoon has the better cockpit and pilot-plane integration systems.

So when Rafale arrive - comparable to Typhoon in performance envelope and avionics - I think you are right.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday urged the government to come clean on the border standoff with China, saying there should be transparency on the issue.

“What we would like to see is some more transparency on what is going on. It becomes difficult for us to have a position without understanding the facts. I think the government should make it clear to the people of India what exactly is happening on the border,” he told a news conference held through video conference.

Indian and Chinese soldiers are engaged in an eyeball-to-eyeball confrontation at four locations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) since early May, and several rounds of talks between local military commanders, including a meeting on Monday, have failed to end the standoff that began with violent clashes between troops from both sides in the Sikkim and Ladakh sectors three weeks ago.

The external affairs ministry has rejected China’s contention that Indian troops trespassed across the LAC, and accused Chinese forces of hindering patrols of the Indian side of the disputed border.

China is said to have marshalled more than 5,000 soldiers on its side of the disputed border in Ladakh sector, where India too has sent military reinforcements to strengthen its defences as growing tensions along the LAC threaten to plunge bilateral relations to a new low.

Gandhi said, “We are hearing different stories. I don’t want to go into conjecture and it won’t be appropriate for me to comment on it without knowing the details. But it is important that the government of India makes it clear what is happening on the border so that the people can understand and they have a position.

“Frankly, there is no clarity. What is happening with China in Ladakh or Nepal, there should be transparency. I don’t see that transparency. Regarding China, it is a live issue so I don’t want to comment on that. I leave that to the wisdom of the government.”

We were basically unprepared. Nehruvian policies are mostly to blame.
Things have turned around thankfully.
Modi is a different kind of a man.
We are confident in him.
Nehru was pussilanimous.
