Shadab wouldn't have had to bowl 40 overs by the 2nd day

Why not play Faheem and Yasir instead of Faheem and Shadab. Even Yasir wouldn't have to bowl 40 overs by second day. Yasir is also a proven match winner like how he did in England.

You got to look at the balance. If faheem could score some runs, then that is Ok, but he hardly gets any, so shadab is better suited to number 7 as a bat( he has 3 50s and a 47* in SENA in 8 or 9 innings)

It's easy to be wise after the event and say Yasir is a better bat after the 100 in Aus, he isn't.

Also our top 6 is not good enough including the wicket keeper to play 5 pure bowlers

You don't select teams assuming they are weak or so. There has to be conviction. Faheem for Ifti is an upgrade and would just balance the team out. Yasir is the superior bowler over Shadab and is likely to pick more wickets so he is a lock.

The only way Shadab can play is if either Yasir is injured or if team needs a second spinner. He can't get into the first XI on merit alone. Still needs to do more in first class for that.

But there are 18-21 year olds sitting in Pakistan who are NOT being selected who are better than Anderson, Boult, Bumrah and Starc but its Misbah who is not letting them come into the system.

Age theory is a false flag.

Aus team of 06-07 was old as hell as was the Windies team of 90-91. They were still champion teams.

Thing about Pakistan is that there is no talent. "Age theory" is just to make people feel good about themselves. The old guys flopped in Aus. The young guys flopped in Aus. It doesn't matter who plays. There is just no talent.

There is talent people just don't bother selecting the right guys, In Shaa Allah this upcoming series proves most people wrong that we do indeed have people.
