Hate to say it but realistically I think a 6th place position in the group stages is where we will finish.

And I think something like that is needed to try and wake the cricketing establishment in Pakistan up and get things together for the sake of the sport and our country.

Its just a shame but sometimes in life you need to fall to get back up again stronger.

Would love them to prove me wrong and progress to semi's though!

Bro the world thinks the people who live in Australia are laid back cause we're lazy.

And that isn't true. We are laid back but it's because we're mentally strong and don't take pressure or anything that seriously and it's clear reflected in the team.

Even in 2011 pointing while visibly upset didn't go on a media cry baby temper tantrum like Babar is atm.

Theirs a reason why economy, politics, depression drama is so absurdly high in countries like UK, and why theirs so much of a mommy daddy culture in Countries like Pakistan.

Gotta be mentally strong man, and this is something Australia, India, NZ and now even sa is developing.

Can't keep coddling the boys forever, and pakistani players are clearly coddled in their comfort zones beyond belief.
I’ve done a lot of traveling in my life. By far, the Australians I’ve met have some of the best senses of humors ever. Great country and great people 😂

I love living in Sydney lol. Literally enjoy living here non stop.

I've also travelled bro, to UK, USA and Pakistan only. Not anywhere else.

I can comfortably say that only thing UK has over Aus is public transport and the only thing USA has over Aus is the system of venture capital and networking, which may sound luxurious but in reality you'll realise the system is rigged against you unless you automatically have connections within, the whole American dream drama is a scam.

Aus has the best people and best environment and the best cleanliness standards. In sydney we clean our streets everyday and take everything seriously, London is dirty 😂😂.

Although tbf, if you wanna go to vacation then go to UK and US, Aus isn't a good place for sightseeing and travelling Only Melbourne is good. Living wise, Aus is the best for a comfortable life.

Very very unlikely that Pakistan will qualify for the semis now, after Australia demolished Netherlands. All 4 of the top 4 teams have positive nrr, and even if Pakistan win all their remaining games, they won't be thrashing anyone enough to improve their nrr considerably. Best case scenario for Pakistan will be they are going to miss out on a semi final spot having been tied in 4th position but with lower nrr. It always seems that Pakistan team don't realise these things matter. In the early games where Pakistan had a chance to win games quickly or hit large totals, they take their foot off the pedal just to secure the 2 points. You need to use your brain and plan tactically. That's where the likes of Aus and NZ excel. Today, Australia could have taken it easy and just plodded to 340, which Netherlands would never get close to.....but they plundered nearly 400 to increase nrr.

With a big win for New Zealand today against Sri Lanka. It seems the race for the semi-finals is all over for Pakistan in this World Cup. They now need to beat England with a margin of about 290 runs to make their net run-rate better than New Zealand and that's is not going to happen.

Pakistan are likely to finish 5th.

I think this is also their position in ODI format (right behind India, Australia, South Africa, and NZ). Finishing 5th is a par performance.

They say Pakistan is unpredictable team. They seem predictable to me. In mean in 2015,2019 World cup...they ended up in a NRR race to qualify with additional consistent factor being relying other teams to loose fixtures to help them qualify. In both world cups they ended 5th position.
In 2023 they seem to be following exact same pattern of relying on other results and NRR and looks like most likely will be place 5th spot again. If that is not predictable/consistent then what is?
Maybe Naseer Hussain can explain...in his 1 min up 1 min down theory

well its predictable now that how far pakistan can go now but yeah i expected that they could have reached atleast in semis beacuse of the much suited asian conditions.

Bad captaincy and wrong selection ruined this world cup campaign for pakistan.
