Simple question and am sure many answers.

Okayish. Better than last PPP gov wrt Infrastructure growth, law and order situation overall is better than before, but biggest concerns are :

1. No Education reforms

2. No Health reforms

3. No Bureaucracy reforms

4. No Police reforms

5. No Tax reforms

6. No Land Record reforms

7. No Judicial reforms

8. No development in Accountability & curbing corruption.

On Economic front the situation is scary. Since taking up charge on average they have printed 1.2 billion rupees daily and have borrowed 4 billion rupees daily.

On the whole PM and the government have been disappointing unfortunately.

Good.

Pakistan was literally in tatters and there used to be daily bomb blasts in PPP era.

Things are much better now..

No fan of PMLN but there have been educational reforms, not major ones but things which could make the use of already available resources more efficient. I can tell you this because my mother is a principal in a high school in Islamabad and till a few months ago the staff she had was like the staff of any govt institution but now they have implemented biometric attendance along with compulsory weekly plans which the teachers must follow. Apart from that they also have random school visits. So things are getting better, not at a very good pace but still.

Tax reforms have also been on the good side. They may not do anything to the rich but the average joe who has been getting away with tax evasion for some time now has come under the hammer. Till last month every one was running around for their tax returns and tax offices were filled to the brim.

The health situation is miserable. The only decent govt hospital in Islamabad, Pims, is now jam packed even after maghrib and I have seen a death per minute in the waiting area multiple times (No exaggeration).

All in all its been bad but maybe this investment injection which the CPEC will bring may stir up anything of substance which might benefit us in the long run.

Do share you source for the information in bold.

All their achievements pale in comparison to the amount of money they have made through corruption.

It's allright, nothing disastrous or great about them. I would say they are a fine government if we were to go by Pakistani standards. They have brought a little stability in politics and that's a positive thing.

worst gov. in history of our civilisation.

First he was taking out loans nonstop, now that banks have realised we can never pay them back and stoped lending us money, so now ganja is mortgaging national assets to get more finance, all filling his pockets and building some new nonsense metro projects that will have the awam excited.

Hes literally sold the country off.

He has sold the country for chump change

Worst the projects we are getting dont have long term efficacy

very short term thinking

I take issue with the options though

He can be the best PM we have had in years but also be an absolute disaster :))

The cheap oil is the best thing that has happened to this government. Otherwise, there have not been any structural reforms in any sector of the government.

Terrorism has undoubtedly declined but it is debatable how much of its credit goes to the government.

Energy production is in the pipeline but there are other problems in terms of feasibility of some projects, distribution, infrastructure which can't cope with increased supply and poor management.

Yes, we are breathing relatively better because of military action against militants but lack of meaningful reforms in every sector does not take us any further.

The best. He is a legend, we will never see a genuis like him.. Lahore lahore hain....

From an outside POV the best PM Pak ever had and there are not many to be compared though.

Good but could have been better. His government should focus on healthcare and poverty more.

Good but could have been better. His government should focus on healthcare and poverty more.

Do you think he will ever stump up the courage to answer the questions of journalists or MNA`s. He is the dumbest PM in the world, and a complete crook.

Good but could have been better. His government should focus on healthcare and poverty more.

He is busy doing money laundering since the 90's it seems, hard to worry about poverty when doing that.

1. Good to know about the biometric system introduction to monitor teachers attendance.

First of all, for the firstime ever it was PTI which introduced a computerised surveillance mechanism of teacher's attendance in KPK.

So, you know there is always Peer pressure in politics aswell. This is why entry of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf into power circle has built up a pressure on all the political players who are in power.

Secondly when we talk about Educational reforms than we must keep into account that we discuss on the whole.

FG colleges was a brainchild of Pakistan Army and still operates under Army. So all FG schools and colleges were and are far far better than the provincial governments schools and be it be FG schools and colleges of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jehlum, Taxila, Wah, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Lahore, Multan etc they have never been the problem and Islamabad being the capital of country and having most federal government officers deployed their always had much better Government Schools and Colleges with few renowned Schools and Colleges in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Jehlum, Wah, Sargodha etc aswell.

Islamabad schools & colleges hardly had attendance issues. Especially FG school and colleges.

When I talked about Education reforms than on the whole I meant Provincial government schools and colleges which are not managed by Army, their infrastructure, availability of specialist teachers, their attendance. Most importantly rural area schools and colleges. Majority drop outs from schools and colleges are from these Schools and colleges resulting in our poor literacy rate. Federal government schools and colleges (Operated under Army) are a very small proportion.

This is a school within few kilometers distance from Sharif family's Castle " Jaati Umra " in Raiwand

As per data of the Pakistani government about 24 million children of Pakistan aged between 5 and 16 year are out-of-school. Out of this, 6.1 million primary school age children do not access primary school and girls are two fifth of this number.

As per Unicef Report of 2015 58 % of Pakistan's Grade 5 students cannot read Grade 2 standard simple english sentences.

So PML N is in Power in Pakistan's most populous province Punjab so how much literacy rate has improved in last 8 years of both Punjab & Pakistan ?

Now coming to Tax reforms ?

Out of around 230 million Pakistanis how many new Tax payers have been added to existing list in last 3 and a half years ?

How much net increase in Tax collection have we witnessed in last 3 and a half years ?

Have the exports increased ?

Have we started generating enough Tax revenue and revenue through exports to meet country needs ? Or more than 70 % of that money goes down loan drains ?

What is the mechanism in place to stop undervaluing assets to evade maximum Tax by corrupt means ?

Source of 1.2 billion rupees being printed daily on average in last 3 and a half years

You can't get a simple answer regarding this.

The problem is PMLN operates in a different manner and PPP operates in a different matter.

PMLN is made up of businessmen, guys who are expert in conducting business, knowing how to get money made, thus resulting a better GDP and Economy.

PPP is different. PPP is not made up of businessmen. Thus, PPP doesn't look at things from business point of view.
What PPP does is they deal with the parliament issues. Parliament issues are the real issues, those issues are what helps run a country properly.

Parliment is where the educated people sit and discuss, problem is PMLN guys are not educated or smart enough thus they aren't bothered about those issues.

PPP knows how to deal with those issues.

I will give you a small example. My dad worked in the bureaucracy for years, but his pay was very little even at senior rank. Our living standard was quite low because of that. When Zardari came, he looked into such issues and increased the salaries properly. My dad was getting like 70k only (i think it was during when he was in the 19th grade pay scale) and this im talking about 2008 when inflation was high.

Zardari's govt improve the pay scale of the govt workers, plus his govt introduced better retirement benefits and all.

When Nawaz sharif's govt came, they took away a few benefits like a retiring officer getting a plot after their service to the govt.

The building of roads and metros and all is actually a very good thing for hte country. But the problem is these are not the govts main job to do. Such projects are the job of the local govts, like the union councils and all. Its their job, not the actual govt job to get these work done, the actual govt job is the parliament issues, which PMLN ignores.

Problem is, people get excited about PMLN making metros, roads and all, when this is suppose to be done by local govt. Now when PPP was in the govt, PMLN still had Punjab. But during that time they never bothered to make better roads in rawalpindi nor have a transportation system in the city.
They bought these things when they came into govt, when this responsibility falls on the govts subordinates not on them
