I am pretty bad - just 6 hours on a good day!

8 or 9 hours. I need those hours otherwise feel sleepy at work.

5 to 6 hours and it's starting to take a toll on me. By Friday night I'm exhausted and in no mood to do anything. I recently bought some melatonin....will try it this weekend. Heard it works pretty well.

5 hours on average. Some weeks it's lower. It has taken a toll on my health and have been repeatedly advised to reduce my stress levels.

How much sleep is really necessary? I say I average around 7 hours.

7-8 hours per night is meant to be optimum for an adult. I usually get around 7 (sleep from 10:30 til 5:30), then once a week I might have a single 9 or 10 hour slumber at the weekend which either makes me feel super-refreshed or triggers a migraine. But generally I sleep consistently well and enjoy my sleep.

yap but ideal for sleep disorder due to seasonal changes.

Voted 7, normally get between 7 and 8, but sometimes wake up in middle of night then go back to sleep hence i chose 7

Have always had problems sleeping, get a solid uninterrupted 4 hours on a good night. Usually just sleep in intervals of a couple of hours.

5 to 6....some time even less..I guess 4 hour uninterrupted deep sleep is more than enough but it’s difficult to achieve.

7 hours normally.9 hours max on a weekend.Although I always wake up in the middle of the night a few times.

7 hours when I count the time I go to bed and then get up so I selected 7 hours. But despite being sleepy it takes a long time for me to nod of most days same for every time I wake up at night so actual sleep might be around 5 hours. Now that I am in my thirties unless I can get 5 hours uninterrupted sleep I am lethargic the whole day.

5-5.5 hrs on weekdays except Fridays. 8-10 hrs on Fridays and Saturdays. 4-5 hrs on Sundays.

Between 6 and 8 hours. My biggest issue is that on weekdays I don’t want to get up though I love my job, but in weekends when I should sleep more than 8 hours, I often sleep less than 6 hours. I feel I am wasting my time by sleeping though I really love to sleep.

7-8 at max; i get 5-6hrs of good sleep(uninterrupted) and then i just pretend as if i am asleep; finally after 1-2 hrs i get frustrated and wake up.

5-6hrs, but that seems plenty to me, if I can catch up one day during the weekend with a decent 7-8 hour sleep then I'm good. Would love to get 7hrs every night, but not going to happen, I always go to bed too late even though I am usually up early the next morning.

4 hours of continuous sleep, and a nap after lunch. Wish our body didn't need sleep. There is plenty of time to sleep after one is dead.

it depends. can get 3 hours to 12 hours. going to sleep 12/1/2/3/4/5 am to 7.30 am or to 11.30 am.

I normally like to sleep 8 hours and get up early in the morning but after my daughter was born, that has gone out of the window. I am lucky if I get 6 hours now. Even that is not a continuous as it depends if my daughter sleeps through the night as well.

Used to get around 7 hours on average but since my son was born I am lucky if I can get 5 to 6 hours (that too is not continuous). So by Thursday night, I am completely exhausted.

7. I used to sleep a lot less before but my lifestyle is completely different now.

i am be getting the best tremendous average sleep, between (7 to 8 hours)… its be hailish to be attentive and do all the amazing work without getting good sleep.

There are some chances for that sleep not being so pleasant.

Yesterday was the most tired I have been in a very long time, was a struggling getting out of bed.

Was doing 10 hrs few years back , now am lucky if I get 6 ..weekdays average is ~5 and weekends ~8

I'm a horrible sleeper. I'm paranoid and overthink this, but I think my poor sleeping habits cost me an inch or 2 in height during my adolescent years.

Still, have improved on this and have worked towards 6-7 hours.
