If Pakistan make the semis , they will win the Cup , when on roll some individuals will produce magic , mark my words.

For all those saying Group stage exit...do you guys think we can't beat SL, WI, AFG and BAN . All we have to do is win 2 games against the remaining lot. I think we'll beat SAF and India . Just my gut feeling says we will thrash India come June 16 IA. And 6 wins should be enough to make the SF. And then it's anyone's game.

Most likely group stage exit. Winning against WI,Afgh ain’t easy any more. Especially with the form we going in. Stick to reality not emotion. Cuz we all know Pak is the least consistent team. This is a long tournament. No chances for flukes. This tournament favors teams like India and England who are consistent.

Our team will win maximum 3 matches from Afghanistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh. Could be worse. Apart from softie Babar most of our batsmen are not good enough. Bowling is pretty average.

Pakistan are getting the best chance to warm up compared to others, this has to be their best chance to win a World Cup

This is Pakistan’s best chance to win the WC.

If they don’t do it, I will be hugely disappointed.

England and the 1992-format, what else do we want? :)

trash india. lmaoooo i will geniunely be proud if Pakistan will be able to beat Bangladesh & Afghanistan or Even WI

Wdym 'Even WI'?
WI is the strongest out of those three teams mentioned lol.

One minute down,next minute up

To quote George RR Martin "If you think this has a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention".

Well they are ranked 6th or 7th in ODI's right? I guess they'll do well to win a few games in the group games.

I honestly feel with Aamir and Shadab back in the team will add more depth and options with the bowling. I also feel Hafeez coming in at 5/6 is a good option and adds depth to our batting. We have to improve our fielding, if we field well and do not miss our chances I honestly feel we can go a long way but we need to step it up.

We will win the World Cup Insh'Allah, by defeating Australia in the final and taking revenge for the '99 WC.

Pakistan will beat Bangladesh, Srilanka, Afgahanistan, West Indies, New Zealand & South Africa.

They will lose to India, Australia & England.

Will go to the finals I reckon but will lose out to India.

Pak win: SL, NZ, SA, Afg

Pak lose: WI, Eng, Aus, Ind

Will finish 5th and miss out on semis.

Semis: Aus, Eng, Ind, WI.

Final: Eng vs Aus.

Winner England

Fifty fifty for me - I think Pak have a pretty good chance of getting into the semis, then its anyone's guess

Group stages exit coming up, cant see us conjuring up 5 wins to realistically sneak a semi final spot.

Minimum 6 wins are needed to guarantee a semi spot. 5 wins will need favourable results and help from weather to make the cut. Even 5 wins look difficult for this side.

Want Pakistan to play fearless cricket and put up a good fight.Winning losing is part of the game.In another couple of years Pakistan will have battery of good fast bowlers(Hasnain,Haris,Shaheen,Musa,Nazim plus more)

Akash chopra said the fourth semifinalist is Bangladesh along with india, england and australia :D so you can imagine what will happen to pakistan along with south africa, newzealand, west indies, srilanka and afghanistan :D

None of your business to be worried about pakistan chances .Pray for your trundle what will happen to them on flat pitches .Just few weeks buddy i hope you don,t run away like champions trophy

On current form I think we would have an Ok world cup if we can beat Bangladesh, Windies, Afg, and Srilanka

Surely getting knocked out in stage 1

Well, TBH a team(Pakistan) which has not won any of the last 10 bilateral ODIs and has been making last gasp changes to the bowling unit realistically cannot make it to the finals. It points to the lack of planning which has been the case with most of the teams. Pakistan ranks so low in their ratings over a longer period which tells something and fans may be in for a heartbreak.Only 2 teams - Aus and Eng look settled and are the favourites.

I agree Pak is in poor form but 5 of those ODIs against Aus were played with non regular players and on top of that Aus and Eng are two of the favourites for semi finals.

Last series Pak played against SA in SA we lost 3-2 and against NZ we were able to draw 1-1. Not saying Pak is going with a strong chance but I guess people are just seeing losses more than the context of those losses.

I believe we will make the semis, inshAllah. I'll be satisfied with that performance.

So will the inclusion of Mohammed Amir and Wahab Riaz have any bearing on the outcome of Pakistans World Cup Campaign or not?
