Hypocrisy of India: No cricket, no trade, no artists—but why keep an embassy in Pakistan?

The justification being presented is framed as a legitimate concern, but in reality, the BJP’s primary motive is to maintain a scapegoat, targeting Muslims in India, Pakistan, and now even Bangladesh, especially with the former Bangladeshi Prime Minister becoming a permanent guest of the BJP in India.

Don't worry. It's for the greater good that all bilateral relations are permanently suspended. Both countries can develop themselves instead of wasting precious govt resources arguing about Kashmir.

I'm sure you'll agree @HalBass9

The average opinion of the radicalized Pakistani is not the same when it comes to India and say Newzealand. Also if Newzealand needs presedential level security than it is a big red flag for Indian team. Also things don’t happen on your speculation, they happen on actionable intelligence reports. It is not safe to travel for Indian team to Pakistan means it is not safe to travel for India.period!

Recently saw a Hindu in Pakistan turned down for a hair cut by barbers. Sorry not ideal environment for million dollar brand that is Indian team. Probably even multi-billion corporates don’t want otherwise they can make it happen.

Also yes we beleive our government because they are elected by the people of India, not installed by a third party.
What on earth are you even saying?

Seriously, take a deep breath, regroup, and give it another shot, because we can all see you're trying way too hard, but at least aim for something that resembles logic.

What logic you want? India doesn’t want to travel to Pak. They have tangible reasons that matters to them. There ends the debate. Why are you squirming?

I completely agree. I'm all for cutting off all bilateral relations, including refusing to play against Pakistan in any tournament, anywhere on the planet. Until that happens, the BJP government is just pandering to the Hindutva majority.

BCCI wants to have a relation on their own terms. Make money where it matters. If you feel like it is a double whammy nothing much we can do lol

A word you clearly treat like a decorative piece rather than something to understand.

There you go, you finally admitted it, not that you didn’t already know. After twisting yourself into knots, pretending it’s about player safety, when in reality, it’s all about feeding the hate driven narrative the Indian government has cultivated for years to appease the country’s largest cult like group.

If Pakistan doesn't want to play India in ICC tournaments, they are more than welcome to forfeit the game.. What's stopping you ?

Don't worry about BJP pandering to its base. That is none of Pakistan's concern. I'm sure you'll agree @HalBass9

Stopping me? Please, don’t flatter me. I’m not a PCB official, and last I checked, I’m not lacing up my cricket shoes either.

By 'you', I was referring to Pakistan cricket in general.

Whatever. I'm sure you agree with the rest of my post.

Should Pakistan sever all ties with India? Why would it, when the anti India narrative doesn’t really sell in Pakistan?

Especially in sports, where both nations thrive on the rivalry, as seen by the massive crowds that show up anywhere in the world.

Let me guess, you’re about to dig up the ’90s again, aren’t you?

Nevermind, I think you have comprehension problems.

When someone starts telling you they don't think India should play cricket in Pakistan because he recently saw a Hindu get turned down for a haircut in Pakistan, it's time to leave the discussion - with that person anyway. What are you going to come back with? You once heard that an Indian slapped his wife for buying a Pakistani mango?

Not worth engaging at this point.

It's easy to understand, they are seen as underclass in the western world so they have to find someone to bully in order to feel some sense of worth. Classic small man syndrome.

Does Pakistan feel bullied by India ? Do you feel bullied by Indians on here ?

India hasn’t played a bilateral series with Pakistan since 2012-13, yet they continue to face off in ICC events. Now, they’ve come up with a new excuse—refusing to send their team to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled to be held here. This is just another example of their double standards, where they claim to avoid ties with Pakistan but still pick and choose when it suits them.

It’s not just cricket. The Modi government has also banned Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood, yet Indian audiences still watch Pakistani dramas and listen to Pakistani music. The hypocrisy doesn’t stop there—they accuse Pakistan of cross-border terrorism in Kashmir but ignore their own involvement in funding terrorism inside Pakistan, which has cost innocent lives.

India keeps saying they don’t want economic, political or cultural ties with Pakistan but then their External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar visited Pakistan for the SCO meeting in October 2024. And despite all their claims they still keep their embassy, consulates and high commissions open in Pakistan. Their actions don’t match their words and their arrogance is on full display.
Deescalation, open diplomatic channel, resolution of cross border disputes of property owners, patriotizing citizens who may have crossed border, granting visas for personal and business reasons.

This is quite demeaning.

You can't force someone to come to our house when they only want to meet outside.

When that person is someone rich. And you are the beggar. Who cannot possibly be the chooser.

Quoting PM of islamic republick of pakistan. Not my words.

Does Pakistan feel bullied by India ? Do you feel bullied by Indians on here ?

Pointing out the obvious is just pointing out the obvious. If I felt bullied why would I even interact with Indians on here? Pakistan is a country. It can't feel anything.
