India hasn’t played a bilateral series with Pakistan since 2012-13, yet they continue to face off in ICC events. Now, they’ve come up with a new excuse—refusing to send their team to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled to be held here. This is just another example of their double standards, where they claim to avoid ties with Pakistan but still pick and choose when it suits them.
It’s not just cricket. The Modi government has also banned Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood, yet Indian audiences still watch Pakistani dramas and listen to Pakistani music. The hypocrisy doesn’t stop there—they accuse Pakistan of cross-border terrorism in Kashmir but ignore their own involvement in funding terrorism inside Pakistan, which has cost innocent lives.
India keeps saying they don’t want economic, political or cultural ties with Pakistan but then their External Affairs Minister, Jaishankar visited Pakistan for the SCO meeting in October 2024. And despite all their claims they still keep their embassy, consulates and high commissions open in Pakistan. Their actions don’t match their words and their arrogance is on full display.
