Much fitter than Azam, Umar can run doubles with ease. Also you don't have to hide Umar in the field.with such pathetic fitness do u think he can make comeback?

Umar Akmal was gifter player but he chose not to use his skills and instead flew away towards social media stuff and doing funny stuff off te field. He should still be focusing on making a comeback, he can play for 2 more years in t20 side, but he has to have an outstanding domestic season for that.
PCB is harsh on him..give the lad one chance to prove himselfLegend he is![]()
Look at the shot which he played.. ridiculous!Legend he is![]()
Have selective amnesia and wants to make a comeback.14 years ago, Akmal’s “senior players” were the likes of YK and Shahid Afridi. Today his senior players are Rizwan and Shaheen. Between these years, Akmal didn’t grow at all.
Why would he displace rizzu though? In a fair and just system, Rizzu's competiton would be fakhar or other openers.Pakistan don’t want to manage complex characters due to their own lack of leadership ability and need to maintain the status quo. God forbid Umar or someone outside the Kliq do well in PSL and show up selfish players like Riswan.

Lol, not that fakhar vs Rizwan would be up for contention in any other country except Pakistan. Even Bangladesh wouldn't do something as stupid as having rizwan open over fakhar
It’s up to the franchises to pick them. It’s clear there is no interest from any of the teams. They can wish all they want, but the PSL isn’t the make a wish foundation for underprivileged kids.I don't get it? Why can't players like sharjeel, Umar, Shehzad play in PSL? Just let them play and pick them for drafts at even bare bone prices.
At this point they just wish to play. You don't have to select them in international, but it's just league cricket that doesn't have international pressure and fans rushing to gut you at every turn?
Sharjeel is not wanted by people who want to make money, they don't find him usefulSharjeel was in lethal form even before the PSL, pretty sure he did very well in a FC game which is considerably more difficult to be aggressive in compared to a T20 game with random lanju panju bowlers to face. If Sharjeel played in the PSL, it would have been a bloodbath, a massacre of the bowlers, and more importantly, Babar/Riz jodii would get broken in half at the top as well, can’t have that.
Sharjeel is not wanted by people who want to make money, they don't find him useful
Azam Khan is the new Sharjeel.
Sharjeel khan unpicked by Shan Masood, Yasir Khan, Haseebullah, Rizwan and Babar all great T20 openers..He is clearly better then a vast number of PSL participants, the fact that he didn’t get picked, is more to do with management creating barriers rather then how good or bad he is, on his worst day he still makes the squad of any T20 team. You know what has happened here.

Management saw someone they didn't want in their ranks - remember they are around to earn money and not support whims and fantasies of individuals.
Sharjeel disgraced himself by getting himself banned. He would have been able to establish himself in the team when he was at his peak, had he not gone and stupidly got himself caught up with Khalid Latif and Nasir Jamshed.Whims and fantasies which involve doing better for Pakistan, it’s funny how we will forget our morals to justify thuggery when it suits our agendas, the management are a bunch of criminals, the same who we get upset about putting IK behind bars, where is the outrage for the injustice which has happened to Sharjeel, now it has become about money all of a sudden - a jewish invention.
Sharjeel disgraced himself by getting himself banned. He would have been able to establish himself in the team when he was at his peak, had he not gone and stupidly got himself caught up with Khalid Latif and Nasir Jamshed.
Why are we always blaming everyone else besides the individual himself?
Did anyone point a gun to Sarfraz’s head and ask him to become unfit and useless as a cricketer, before he was booted?
Did anyone else eat all those parathas, niharis etc and come back an inflated balloon like Sharjeel did after his ban was lifted? Why couldn’t he have maintained himself like Amir did, despite serving a much shorter sentence? Who’s fault is that?
All the Karachi lobby does is cry about these two.
Because franchises will have a net negative impact both on and off field. Shahzad did perform last season and could've been picked but hard luck.I don't get it? Why can't players like sharjeel, Umar, Shehzad play in PSL? Just let them play and pick them for drafts at even bare bone prices.
‘Mate’ where did I mention Rizwan or Misbah in my post?Mate the phew is from Birmingham and not Karachi get that right, why is it that all the special needs party do is defend Rizwan in-spite of Pakistan’s success, you talk about fitness and the guy needed emergency oxygen after attempting lofted shots, he’s always cramping, maybe he could eat a bit, or is he poor. if Sharjeel passes some wind, Rizwan would die. Sharjeel is in terrific form and more qualified to open the innings then that 2 bit cricketer, why is that all you need is a fake Molvi Gimmick and One shot to cow corner to be rated by all
‘Mate’ where did I mention Rizwan or Misbah in my post?
Sharjeel was the defacto opener for Pakistan in 2016, it’s his fault he got himself involved in shady proceedings.
When he came back, he was over-weight and unfit to play international cricket. He was selected in South Africa to play two T20Is btw. Didn’t perform aswell as he should have.
The issue is less about dropping sarfraz and more about what the coach appointed did.Sharjeel disgraced himself by getting himself banned. He would have been able to establish himself in the team when he was at his peak, had he not gone and stupidly got himself caught up with Khalid Latif and Nasir Jamshed.

Rizwan being unfit in your eyes doesn’t mean how Sharjeel has carried himself so far is right. Why not, are Rizwan and Misbah sensitive topicsyou talked about form and fitness, I just exposed a regular of the team. Mr. Azam Khan is in the team to though I admit he is still a better option then Rizwan. So Sharjeel is fit enough to play FC cricket but not good enough to be in contention for T20’s, he’s in the shape of his life
Sharjeel flopped in Sindh league lol. sharjeel was a flop at international level after getting a million chances.Sharjeel was in lethal form even before the PSL, pretty sure he did very well in a FC game which is considerably more difficult to be aggressive in compared to a T20 game with random lanju panju bowlers to face. Anyone you hate actually is a good cricketer. Why is this the case?Sharjeel flopped in Sindh league lol. sharjeel was a flop at international level after getting a million chances.
Which player do you like? I'm curious to know what your t20 squad would even look like? Since you advocated Abdullah shafiq and rizwan batting at 5?Sharjeel flopped in Sindh league lol. sharjeel was a flop at international level after getting a million chances.
And then you wake up from your wild dream and realize them 2 are struggling in ramazan tournaments.Umar Akmal, like Sharjeel, has done more in his last 6-8 matches across formats, then Rizwan has done in his entire LOI career, he can never dream to bat like these special talents in the longer formats so forget about T20’s.
after this KKL blunder i can surely say that he is the one who is running his page. lolKKL.??? LOL
I am sure umar akmal's page is ran by some troller and member and not by himself.
121 ODI’s and 84 T20’s weren’t enough chances? Should he have played 200+ matches before getting a fair chance?Umar Akmal is better than saim ayub . PCB needs to try umar akmal atleast in T20 . Most talented young cricketer pakistan produce after inzamam Ul haq. Simply wasted his talent by not giving him enough chances.
All that’s missing is a highly filtered tiktok video where he’s holding up a home made KKL poster against the backdrop of Punjabi stage drama music.after this KKL blunder i can surely say that he is the one who is running his page. lol
Just shows how talent of batsmen have gone down in Pakistan. The way we are hyping up Saim and Haris was similar to how we hyped up Umar akmal and Babar. Neither are anywhere near that level. Umar started performing against Australia instantly.Umar Akmal is better than saim ayub . PCB needs to try umar akmal atleast in T20 . That’s why we need to debut batsmen later. We don’t have any prodigious 20 year olds. Better to give the guys who do have talent a few years to hone their game. The only guys debuting so early should be absolute generational talents, which Babar and Umar are, and these guys are not. Doesn’t mean we write them off, but they need to not be treated in the same way as generational talents.
Extremely talented guys you get a longer career out of. Because by the time they are 20, they’ve already reached the level of a good 25 years old.We don't have a choice. It is better for a 20 year old to get an extended run than a 25 year old who takes until 28 to get going and then he only has a few years left because his real age is 4 years older.
We also need to promote youngsters who are genuinely their age regardless if they perform worse than their age fudging counterparts. That is the only way to apply a filter until we unearth new talent because the state doesn't seem bothered in dealing with age fudging. No stopping PCB from deciding themselves.
It's good you're atleast acknowledging Bobby is overhyped and havent claimed he's the best pakistani batter ever or claimed his reputation is greater then Quaid E Azam( Yes someone actually claimed that here no joke)Just shows how talent of batsmen have gone down in Pakistan. Umar is done now though. He's getting out by school kids in domestic.Still better than Saim, Itfikhar, Haider, Azam and many others.
Babar is doing injustice with Umar.
Can you enlighten us how you reached that conclusion?Still better than Saim, Itfikhar, Haider, Azam and many others.
Babar is doing injustice with Umar.
It’s not rocket science. UA probably still is a better T20 player than those names, just like Imad was still better than all those jobber spinners Pakistan were playing in his absence. Can you enlighten us how you reached that conclusion?
Imad came back on the basis of league performances, like Amir - that's credit to them for keeping up their form. It’s not rocket science. UA probably still is a better T20 player than those names, just like Imad was still better than all those jobber spinners Pakistan were playing in his absence.
Yes UA isn’t in the best of touches but he is more capable than those guys for sure on his best day
The batters are horrible as usual the pace bowlers are very good though but needs a season or two for transition in to international cricket.Where are the U-19 rising stars of Pakistan??? Why cant they be given a chance and cull the oldies once and for all
And we will remain poor if we keep going to the past it and tried and tested failures.. it’s always been a case with our cricket” one step forward 10 step backwards”…Umar has himsef to blame. Even now if he got his act together he would walk into this team, thats how poor we are
I agree in principle, but we have really regressed when it comes to middle order limited overs battingAnd we will remain poor if we keep going to the past it and tried and tested failures.. it’s always been a case with our cricket” one step forward 10 step backwards”…
Everyone wants to open.I agree in principle, but we have really regressed when it comes to middle order limited overs batting
our batting culture in domestic cricket is also rotten
This is kinda funny.Umar Akmal! You can be fit but performance should also be there.
Pakistan would have a difficult time qualifying for ICC events if they bring back players like Umar Akmal into the team.I think Umar is out due to his non serious attitude towards the game... he was rightly dropped from the team.
Tayyab tahir wants to genuinely be a middle order batter and so does omair.Everyone wants to open.
Everyone wants to be a pseudo all-rounder like Shadab and Imad.
We need to move away from opportunist players and give genuine specialists proper chances now.
They would but he I think the overall points need to be taken into account.Pakistan would have a difficult time qualifying for ICC events if they bring back players like Umar Akmal into the team.
We don’t plan long term and always look for shortcuts. This has been our modus operandi from day one that we catch the players young, throw them in the deep waters of international cricket and expect them to learn on job. This used to work in past as we always couple of senior players in the team with some brain cells who could guide the younger lot however over the years we have produced some very low IQ cricketers who don’t understand or know their own game how will they guide the youngsters. Salman Bhat was our last player who had something above his shoulders and even he messed it up in the end.I agree in principle, but we have really regressed when it comes to middle order limited overs batting
our batting culture in domestic cricket is also rotten
Not saying that I don't believe him ... but this photo looks so fake and the abs look like they've been edited in. I'm not saying that IS the case - it just looks like it lol. Cus if you look at his arms, they have no vascularity or definition whatsoever but he has great abs. Idk how that works bc you would have to have an overall low BF % to get those abs & it should show on his arms too.Umar Akmal! You can be fit but performance should also be there.
