"I don't know how to tamper with the ball and neither have I ever learnt to do this" : Hasan Ali

Hasan Ali at a presser today:

"Yes, I am totally fit, I have been playing PSL, have been training and bowling as well"

"It augurs well for us that a foreign team is coming over to Pakistan"

"Obviously like every other player, I am very excited that we will be playing international cricket in our home ground after a long time"

"I was under no pressure in the final, it was just a match situation where I wanted to get wickets and got hit for 3 sixes"

"Some bowlers can get hit for 6 sixes, so I don't think I have lost any confidence (in my abilities) after being hit for 3 sixes"

"I was away from cricket for a while and it took me few matched to get into rythm"

"I put in some good performances in the PSL and I was also Man of the Match in a game as well"

"There is always pressure on you when you play as a strike bowler"

"T20 is a format in which you can play with 3-4 pacers"

"Its good to see that players who performed well in PSL have come into the Pakistan team"

"We are like a family and like a family, we have ups and downs; I already apologized to Sarfaraz incase I did something wrong"

"He is like my elder brother and he really respects me a lot"

"My relations with Sarfaraz has always been good and he treats me like his younger brother"

"Its for all to see that top players have come to Pakistan like when the World XI came to Pakistan"

"One hopes that those overseas players who didnt come to Pakistan will come here in the future"

"With the Caribbean guys we know that if 2 are out on 2 balls then the third one can come in and hit a few sixes"

"They are good team and we should not take consider any opposition easy"

"I just enjoy the moment but I am not a dancer but a sportsman!"

"If a fan didnt like it (my dancing) then I wont do it again"

"Look I don't know how to tamper with the ball and neither have I ever learnt to do this"

"Of course fast-bowlers do that, and you can look at history for that; In cricket this is called tactics and if you are caught then you are accused; in dry conditions, the ball gets scratched itself"

I'm sorry but if the journalist asked a question in regards to if Hasan Ali knows how to tamper the ball...then that is one of the all-time great stupid questions.

People need to get over that Sarfaraz-Hasan episode. It was just in the heat of the moment, no need to keep bringing it up.

What a silly silly question to ask to be honest. Even if he does have ninja technique for tampering the ball, it's not like he will come right out and say yes. Hope he doesn't do anything stupid in future or people will feel obligated to bump this thread and have merry for retrospective putridness.

pakistani journalist and their stupid questions

Some other bowler mighty say, "I know multiple techniques of ball tampering but my personal favorite is the one taught and perfected by Player X."

Hasan barely swings the ball.

He gets just enough movement to outplay the batsmen. That’s why he is so good to watch.

Let's not get involved in this mess !

Pakistani bowlers need to be super careful in England and South Africa this year as the television stations will have us under more scrutiny than usual due to this scandal.

No worries. We've mastered the art. They couldn't figure how we got it to reverse in CT when no one else could. :yk

There's no Misbah to keep a stoic face around the team anymore. I'm calling Sarfraz and his screaming and yelling antics to lead to something or the other in the near future.

really!!! so he is a top bowler and he doesn't know how to reverse a bowler.. Just about any club bowler worth his salt knows how to do it. they may be poor at executing it but certainly know what to do. It is one thing to claim he never did it or would never do it and other to say he does not even know

No need to be disgraceful cheats like Steve Smith, David Warner

Did you even read the thread title let alone the interview? And do you even watch the matches?

Pakistani bowlers are not innocent when it comes to ball tampering over the years.

I hope the current lot are clean when it comes to this 'dark art'.

Every players knows how to rough up the ball.

Most do it "legally" with the help of a rough pitch (throwing it in on the bounce). Others take measures into their own hands to speed things up.

Dumb question nonetheless.

There should be lessons on " Defense against the Dark Art" for all Pakistani players

Its a highly derogatory question to be asked and I am surprised how the journalist was allowed to ask such a question. What exact answer was he expecting? And what is the point of asking this to a Pakistani bowler? Is it a case of stereotype? This is laughable that a Pakistani journalist is asking such questions. I am an Indian and I am getting angry about such stereotyping.

Well you know what. He was reverse swinging the ball in Champions Trophy last year. I’m don’t want to accuse him or anything, but I’m just thinking about it.. there’s always a Big What If?

Didn't Sarfi say it publicly recently that they tried to throw the ball on the ground....
