Hafeez deserves more respect than he gets. He isn't a world-beater but he has been one of Pakistan's better players over the last decade. And he has turned up when it really mattered with a great all round display.

Before the final, I was saying that this should be Mohammed Hafeez's last PSL season, and I still think so. This would be the most perfect way to finish off.

Why though? Its not the national team where he is taking a youngster's spot. He's a pretty important part of that Qalandars line-up, won them the final and if anything, youngsters like Abdullah Shafique could learn a thing or two from him.

He is accountable to the owners, and while it shouldn't go to the stage where Kamran Akmal is at, he seems like he does have a few more seasons left in him
